Help Disabling the led at night?

Buy the full version of Light Flow. It took me just one night to realise that getting an email during the night would result in my room pulsating in blue light all night.

Light Flow works perfectly with the SGS3. You can configure different colours for different types of alerts and set how long they'll go off for. It's one of the best customization apps on Android IMO.

Only way I know if is tedious. Settings -> LED, un-check everything.

Then come day time, repeat the process but check everything.

Did that, still lights up.

LF doesn't work for me. Solid green light when the screen is off, and it speaks when you open a folder. They said they are aware, but right now the fix require root.

face down at night could be an option?? (also the home dock disables the led.)

I am using the Samsung dock. It does not disable the LED. =\

I assure you that LF works perfectly on the SGS3. I've had my phone since day 1 of the blue one being available in the UK. I installed LF on day 2 and it's worked since then. There was on the first day a minor issue where the default blinking blue notification appeared, but I think that was due to tasker doing something weird (I have that running as well.)

Since then it's worked perfectly. Play around with the options. On mine i've got it enabled and running in the foreground.

They've had more time to play with the UK version. The US version isn't working correctly yet.

Theres actually a little known, but useful LED feature on this phone. Once you flip it over, the LED goes off.

Because of the shape of the phone you can still see it flashing when lying face down.

Best advice I can give rxmxsh is to switch off both wifi & mobile data when you go to bed. Stops any LED flashing, unless of course someone texts or rings you at silly o'clock, and also saves your battery.
I done the same purely to get rid of the flashing LED and ending up using only 1 or 2% of the battery over the 7 - 10 hours I'm in bed.
With mobile data on (I always switched off wifi on a night) I used to use around 20% of the battery.
No flashing & battery almost fully charged for the day.
