Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Never tried Jelly Belly. When I tried vicious it seamed too "plain" so I reverted back to liquid. What does Jelly Belly offer? Any mods or tweaks or the like?

Nope. The dev is keeping it as close to pure stock as possible. No word on if he will branch out and create a customized ROM alongside it or not. But for the moment, it's nothing like the options in AOKP.

But... it's Jelly Bean! I can't go back!

On another note:

Chain makes All-Bacon Burger

Yes, I know your arteries all started closing at the mere thought but you know your mouths started watering too. (except our vegetarian friends because they are the only people I know that don't like bacon - no offense intended)

Is there anything bacon can't do? :)

Lean Kernel rockin' on Ginny! We'll see how things work out over the next 24 hours or so!

That is a SERIOUSLY dangerous looking burger. I think my arteries gasped when I saw that picture!

EDIT: Jelly Belly 2.6 is out! AOSP Hybrid! Clean wipe and JB Bootloader recommended!
2.7 full AOSP ROM is coming soon!

so how do you work this JB Bootloader?

http://phandroid.com/2012/07/09/verizon-galaxy-nexus-toro-once-again-officially-supported-in-aosp/

Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus has sometimes been referred to as as the black sheep of Nexus devices, usually trailing behind when it comes to official AOSP support. Well, today, it looks like that is changing with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Toro) now has its official binaries exposed, and posted for ROM devs/chefs to download and cook up. Nexus brothers, it’s time to officially welcome the Verizon Galaxy Nexus back into the fold. We missed you.

Of course, this puts the ball in Verizon’s court, and we’ll have to wait and see how quickly they can test, and push out this update for unrooted users on their network.

Good morning everyone!

Lady picked up a MK6 VW Golf last night - what a nice car to drive. It is weird sitting in the passenger seat of a VW and not having to avoid potholes and speed bumps, but I'm just used to that by now.

We let the cat sleep with us last night, which was a bad idea because he kept waking us up to play or to scratch or something and I am beat. I just feel bad kicking him out of the bedroom because he sits and makes sad meow noises, but he's only a kitten so I am sure it will be better soon.

*yawn*

Perhaps, but my cat is 15 and is the same way. Having pets is like having a toddler for 15 years.

Save yourself some heartache and start training the cat to sleep in a set location not in your bedroom.

Indeed! Except worse in some aspects...toddlers are allowed in most public places...dogs/cats are not. Even in hotels that allow dogs/cats, they charge you a non-refundable deposit or a pet fee per night. :p I can't wait till our Yorkie kicks the bucket, but he's only 9 so I'm probably going to be tormented another 5-10 years. (He's bitten me no less than 5 times and drawn blood)

So Directv might be dropping some channels by midnight? Vicacom... 26 channels (MTV, BET, VH1, Spike TV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon etc.) could be cut off at midnight. I'm sure this will lead to higher rates once it is settled.

People need to drop satellite and cable and just use the internet. The way I see it...I pay for internet, why should have to pay for tv, music and movies? (I know the answer to that)

The wife just called me about this. First I had heard of it. Sounds like a great excuse to get out of my contract with them.

I have been trying to get this done...but we are stuck on some of the channels we watch everyday...like HGTV, A&E, Discovery and SciFi...all of which I cannot find a reliable source for online....everything else is good to go internet only, no cable...except those, so we have not made the switch completely yet

svt - any reason why your app is not comaptible with the Nexus anymore? Do you have a maxSDKVersion set?

That's probably it, didn't realize I had one set but I bet that's the problem. I hadn't even noticed it. Thanks for the catch!

Edit: Hmmm, doesn't look like that is the issue. Checked the dev console and API level is 7-16+. Also did a search through the compatible device list and the Nexus shows up. I've had some strange stuff going on in the Play Store lately where it showed things not compatible or not available in the US that really should be. I just shrugged it off at the time.

No problem - FYI recommended to only use minSDKVersion and targetSDKVersion. As you can see maxSDKVersion only leads to issues and I don't think there is ever a case to limit an app based on someone using a version TOO high.

Yeah, I'm almost certain I only used min and target. I'll check when I get home just in case, but I think I would have more sense than to use a max sdk.

Whaa?

Our lhasa apso bites my wife that many times in a month, just brushing her or bathing her, and yes, draws blood as well, but she takes it in stride. Can't help it if our children have fangs. :p

I know human children who bite more often than that as well. :)

As much as my furry kids can be a pain, I wouldn't give $5 for another one like them, but wouldn't take $1 million for any of them. We had a foster dog a few years ago that was mean as a snake, but we adored her. She was a mostly blind pekingnese and she had to have drops in her eyes 3 times a day. When she sensed your hand coming toward her, she would bite the hell out of you with her tiny little mouth...it was like a snake bite. She got adopted by an older lady who didn't mind the biting in the least, and we still miss her...fangs and all. :D
