So I was going to sell my iPad 2 on eBay but I'm now thinking about trading it to GS and getting 30% towards the N7. I already have the N7 pre ordered from Google, so maybe I could sell that on eBay if GS gets it first?

I have a bunch of old stuff laying around from game systems, phones, and video games. I'm not sure what to do.

What should I do?

Anyone else getting the N7 from GS?

Exactly how much is GameStop giving you for the Ipad 2?? Bro those guys always give you pennies on the dollar in their trade ins. That is how they make their money. My advice is DON'T do it. Besides the Ipad 2 is better than the Nexus 7.

I pre ordered my Nexus 7 a few weeks ago and i think i am going to like it but no way i would trade an Ipad 2 for it.

I just called my local GameStop out of curiosity and asked how much was the trade in. For an Ipad 2 with 16gb and 3G from AT&T the max you can get is $213 dollars and that is if it is in PERFECT condition. If it has some scratches and bumps and stuff you get between $106-192. And by the way the money you get is towards store credit NOT CASH.

What a ripoff!!!!

There is virtually nothing better about the iPad 2. The low 4:3 screen resolution alone is enough to be a dealbreaker, especially for twice the price. Not to mention every new feature of Jelly Bean, especially with Notifications and Google Now, seeing as how the iPad 2 doesn't even have Siri, and as this video points out (at 3:10), the notification system in iOS is just weak.

I'm not surprised, but then again, that's really all an iPad 2 is worth anyway, just because Apple sells it in a store for $399, or $529 in the case of a 3G model, doesn't mean it's anywhere near worth that much. The retail price of any iPad, is the real rip-off.
^^ Just my opinion ^^

the 50% promo sucks because they dropped the trade in values.
before that, they had a 30% promo that netted me $95 on a ~5 year old 1g touch 8GB. much more than I would've gotten anywhere else.

The Ipad 2 is still a much bigger tablet and the screen looks amazing. I know cause my brother has one. I like Android better but IOS is still very user friendly and the tablets are the best. That's just my opinion.

Are you sure its not the new iPad? My wife has an iPad2 and I think the screen is horrible. I didn't think I would notice but the 1024x768 in that screen just bugs me. It felt weird to be able to make out pixels on a tablet.

Trade in values changes but for some things, their value is not bad.

During the 30% bonus (which was before the 50% bonus, and thus before they lowered their values), the offer for my mint ipad 1 16gb wifi was $180 +$54 (30%)= $234. I do not think I can match that anywhere including ebay after fees or craigslist (let alone the pure hassle of it). Plus take into account I saved about $18 in sales tax, since the traded in value does not get taxed, only the remaining balance is.

On the other hand, what they are offering you for the ipad 2 is too low. To me, an ipad 2 is still a very good tablet (if you are into iOS), and unlike ipad 1, ipad 2 will support iOS6, which is one of the main reason I am dumping ipad 1 before their value plummets.

Quite the similar boat as me. We had a 3 and a 1, we dumped the 1.
