My first post here. So far i have had my previous answers answered though reading from this knowledgable forum. So thank you all for that.

I have searched this forum for this answer and have not found what i am looking for. I read my manual regarding deleting files from the sd card. I am not sure if i understand it though. Can i safely delete files through my pc's file manager (while tethered) rather than through the phone it self, files such as pictures and music? And what about the folders left behind from downloaded apps? Can i simply delete those while tethered?

i delete things through both (folders for apps i uninstalled; as well as pics, etc). i either use astro, or just the PC while connected.

my concern is that i understood doing this through the pc may corrupt the sd card.

any SD/flash card has the potential to be corrupted - it was explained to me that your PC doesn't always immediately write to the SD/flash card when you copy things over - it waits for a "good" time when the processor isn't being taxed.

that being said, as long as you "eject"/safely remove hardware, you shouldn't have any issues.
