It's too early to tell what might be in store but if this thing includes a QWERTY slider, I'm most likely going to be looking elsewhere. That slider would have to be perfect and extremely durable for me to even consider it. And it would have to be thinner than my MoPho. Oh, and I'd like an improvement to screen resolution. Oh, and give me a bigger screen. Oh, and I want a larger battery that is removable. Oh, and unlock the damn bootloader. Oh, and give me vanilla android, Jelly Bean...

Rumor is that Sprint may get some Nokia devices in the future? Possibly a part of the Lumia line? The rumor word must be stressed because I don't see how the reports connected the dots to include Sprint from the original interview...

Anyways part of the story that is real and not rumor, is that eventually there will be a Lumia handset with PureView technology on board.

While I'm not sure if that means a Lumia phone will get the exact same camera hardware as seen on the 808 (41MP, Zeiss optics, 1.5" sensor, f/2.4, etc.) or if it means that they are working on bringing the same back end technology (oversampling of pixels, dedicated camera processor, zoom, etc.) to other camera hardwares?

I Like to play devil's advocate though.
(I have doubted from when the 808 has been rumored that it would never be anywhere near Sprint. If in fact Sprint does eventually get a Lumia, I have my doubts that it will have PureView technology on board.)

For me it would be a HUGE trade off since the Lumia line have been Windows Phones, and PureView so far is on Symbian Belle. I don't have personal experience with either OS, but I don't like the idea of moving from Android to the "lesser" OS's.
Another huge trade off for having the extremely nice Nokia PureView camera is having worse hardware overall. At least so far this has been the case. Particularly the SCREEN, chassis, processor, graphics, form factor, mobile radios, etc. have been stepped down to account for the extra costs.

I really wish Nokia was with Android, and that they would go all in and create a top of the line, high spec. phone, with the exact PureView 808 camera hardware or better. And then bring it to Sprint. A "struggling" phone manufacturer teaming up with a "struggling" phone carrier would be a cool plan. It would probably prove unsuccessful in the long run, but might keep things floating for a while?

I feel worse about any phones connected to Microsoft than I do about trusting Samsung. After being a diehard Windows Mobile guy for 4 years, I just couldn't trust Windows with regards to mobile devices (despite the complete change to Windows Phone vs. Windows Mobile). I've heard it is much better and nowhere near as unreliable as Windows Mobile was, but it's not enough for me to ever go back.

Android has provided me with everything I wanted Windows Mobile to be (easier to customize without jumping through hoops and without needing to root), while at the same time still being able to do all the "extra" customizations that I was able to do on Windows Mobile (via rooting). There are only a few customizations I was able to accomplish with Windows Mobile that I won't be able to do, unless I root (e.g. change the startup sound, change the shutdown sound, change the toolbar/notification bar color). Other than those small things, I'm able to accomplish all those small things very easily without needing to find a random file on the internet (via search) in order to download and then install onto the phone.

Microsoft already burned that bridge for me to ever re-consider them, no matter how much they try and convince me that it's "better" or "more efficient" or whatever other tag lines they use to increase Windows Phone sales.

Exactly. We're all in this camp, or a similar one, I feel. You've got some extra incentive.

Even though the early rumors/leaks were of a device with a qualcomm dual-core, I'd be interested to see how LG's quad-core processor does. I can wait until September for sure, if it means making a "thorough" decision on my last 1 year upgrade.

Although, it's going to be hard not to jump on getting a White LTEvo this coming weekend, since I'm already eligible for upgrade.

AND, I hope Motorola does the same promotion for all upcoming phones (including the Photon Q...and hopefully non-qwerty version, if I can dream up that possibility...LOL), where they'll include the car dock!

They likely have a "number" in mind, as far as sales are concerned. If they don't hit that number, I wouldn't be surprised to see an Android partnership form.

I think that's a 'bit of a subjective question. "Dirty" to some might not have quite the same meaning to others. I also think it depends on how people are with their devices. I constantly wipe my phones down and keep them as clean as possible, but I'm nowhere near as meticulous as others that might even take a toothbrush and scrub their phone cases/covers down.

I had the white EVO, prior to moving on to the MoPho. I noticed that I was much more meticulous at keeping it clean, just not wanting the white to look "dirty" with scuffs. That said, it wasn't that difficult at all to keep it clean. Maybe a little more work than darker colored phones, but not by much.

I have. I had a white iPhone 3GS before I made the switch to Android. I really like the look of white phones and never had a problem with it getting dirty. I am sure it all depends on your lifestyle (work and play) though.

That being said, if this years Nexus is released in a white version, that will be my next phone.

Well, good thing I'm waiting it out until all the superphones are released. Best Buy will be my upgrade store of choice, especially because I get an instant $50 credit from them, for each of the 2 upgrades I'll be doing. Wow, really? That would really bump it up to #1 choice on my list. I wish we could zoom into November, so all of the superphones can be out and available and I'll be able to make a solid choice for my last 1 year upgrade.

The cost is very prohibitive, but you could get the White Evo 4G LTE from Sprint at full retail cost now and then use your upgrade and credit at Best Buy for a different phone of your choosing later before the end of the year. Whichever phone you like least you can sell later for near what you paid for it. With your upgrade and credit added in I imagine you could break even on the whole thing. The path could also lead to destruction.

Yeah, ever since I purchased my house, the budget for toys has gone practically out the window. I'm still loving my MoPho enough to be patient and wait, but seeing all these reviews on the LTEvo and SGS 3 has gotten me a little antsy.

In my case it was getting married, but exact same boat. I'm a little fanatical about checking various websites for new rumors of upcoming phones. Damn it, I want all my options on the table already!

Well I just got me the Galaxy Nexus few weeks ago. I'm a very patient person but I just couldnt wait anymore lol. I just wanted to try something different. To put it simple....I love this phone! This phone will keep be busy until the fall lineup. There's going to be some quadcore beast phones coming up and the rumored multi Nexus devices.

I really want a Nexus phone but I would like HTC to be the maker. I'm not one to rush and buy the latest and greatest phone, if the rumor is true like you mention about (multi Nexus device), I just hope HTC is on board.
