Shipping date speculation

I am paraphrasing him: "Pre-orders made between June 27th and June 29th should be process by no later than Monday"

We bantered a little bit and he said that they are trying to get it done by today but that Monday would be the latest.

Hope this helps.

So processing could begin as early as today or tomorrow, no later than Monday. Sorry for the confusion Patriot

Confused. They're shipping it out from them Monday is what you said correct? If that's the case, then with 2 day shipping, isn't Wednesday the earliest?

They are TRYING to get orders processed\shipped today - and if they can't, then they will definitely be out on\by Monday.
Although, UPS 2nd day does deliver on Saturdays - soooo, Saturday at the earliest, Wednesday at the latest.

the wife's birthday is coming up, and she keeps say she wants a nook or ereader. so i figured, i'll get her a nexus 7, and if it's groovy, i'll order myself one later on :p

when are these devices shipping out?

Congrats on getting her one, but you should just get one for you, too!

I am hearing from a Google Play rep that these ship as early as today, as late as Monday for those who ordered between June 27th and June 29th. I think you'll get yours by the end of the month.

If you don't mind, I am gonna merge this with the shipping speculation thread.

Thank you.

I can honestly say this has been the most anticipated device I have ever bought, however I never pre ordered anything before this tablet. I really really hope its worth all the hype.

Me too, me too, and me too. One of the most highly anticipated devices, first preorder, and hope its worth it. I am fairly sure it will be satisfactory as I know what I am getting as I have had Android devices for over 2 years.

According to the Verge, the only retailer that did indeed start selling today, Adorama, was contacted by Google and asked to halt sales

Lol, I wouldn't put too much stock in adorama. I used to live near them. They will advertise something really cheap and then when you buy it they will tell you, "sure you can get it at that price but it has no warranty, if you want a warranty you have to pay this price". OR my favorite "yes its that price for the camera but you have to buy it as a kit which includes a battery, a strap and case which costs an extra $150".

And all could've been avoided entirely of Google had/would actually announce a freaking release date. It's insane to have your products in the hands of retailers and have customers wanting to buy those products and not tell either the customer or the retailer when that would happen. Beyond ridiculous. :secruity:

Yeah but this is how product sales are normally done. Its not like this is a test sale. You didn't pre-order with the promise of an exact date of when your fingers will touch it.

The true problem is us. We hear a "rumor" release date of 7/12 and we absolutely believe it to be true because that is what we want to believe. And when 7/12 arrives and nothing is at our doorstep because we expect google to use their transporter to beam the product into our doorstep we go nuts. We say "they promised 7/12 and its 7/12" but nevermind its still a rumor date that nobody confirmed.

This is why people say 2nd quarter, mid-month, early spring etc.

Lets just chill because this time next month nobody will care when this was shipped.

After having been in so many of those small electronics shops in NYC, I can say that every single one feels like a scam, or the people working there give off a "no returns or refunds for any reason" vibe.

The true problem is us.

I don't see it that way. I see the true problem as a lack of communication from Google and the fact that Nexus 7's have been shipped to retailers and are in their stores just sitting. Those units could have been shipped to the people that pre-ordered and have been waiting since the 27th.
