I packaged the new leak in a flashable zip. I debloated, added chainfires 3d driver, s voice, and put the HTC one x boot animation in it. I will clean up this Rom and tweak where I can. So this will continue to get updates. Feel free to post any issues. So far this has been running really great.

Hate to bump this, but having an odd issue. I absolutely cannot edit my MSL. I can access it, and I can begin to edit it, but the edit will not take.

I have edited before on other devices, and this doesn't intimidate me, but it keeps "losing" the data I have input into the field. Very odd. Am I missing something?

Sorry for the dumb, question as I am completely new to the android world, but any pointer as to how can proceed to get ics installed on my evo design 4g.
Thanks.
If you are on Sprint or USC, you can't. If you are on BM, it should have an update. But I don't think this phone was out on BM without the ICS update. The only other option is to flash this ROM. It is the BM ROM, with the bloated apps uninstalled.

I put the new boot animation in this folder, and it still doesn't work. It just shows a black screen for the animation. I tried using the Gnex animation.

Did you unzip and zip the animation file? It cannot be compressed and did you make sure to change the permissions to match those of everything else in the folder? Did you rename it to exactly the name you see in the picture?

Yes make sure to use the "store" option for editing/making the zip file. That's what this setting is called in WinRAR, but it may be named differently depending on what you use for zip files. (I would NOT recommend using Windows's built-in ZIP archive manager)

ZIP files for boot animations can't have compression or they will have the above mentioned black screen issue.

How exactly do I do that? I downloaded it from XDA. It was already in a zip named "bootanimation". I renamed it to "Boost_bootanimation". The resolution is correct. However, I don't know how to change the permissions. :stupido:

You have to change permissions on root explorer they should look like this

Sorry to be so non-linear, I wound up traveling a lot.

The hidden menu for this phone operates a little differently then most other brands. Did you try the "commit changes" menu option after setting the new code? It's found by tapping the little "menu" text that is on the top right corner of the hidden menu. ;)

I did, but as soon as I leave the field it erases any changes I have made. When I try to commit changes, it says that no change has been made.

I tried to install it on my design 4g [sprint] -- both after renaming it to "update.zip" and with "install from zip" option -- both fails with error "Cannot open zip file (bad)" error. BTW, I have the bootloader unlocked.

If I lock it, I loose clockworkmod recovery options, I am only left with "bootloader" menu. So, I cannot try that. The other option left is renaming it to "PH44IMG.zip", will try that too next.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Flash via cms
I am so sorry, forgive my ignorance. I am not sure what cms is. I did look around on android forums couldn't find a flasher called cms. Please send me a link to cms.

BTW, I have tried with renaming it to PH44IMG.zip and from bootloader [both in locked and unlocked state], none of which works. It just comes out to fastboot prompt after checking the image.

Thanks much.
