I recently rooted my optimus v and reseted it after thinking it was unrooted but wasn't. I was then in clockworkmod recovery and flashed xionia recovery. it then comes up as...

Fastboot mode started
gpio_i2c: invalid khz: 0
bl: i2c write error
udc_start()

i really don't know what this means and how to get out of it. If you could, pleeeeze help me.

You flashed a corrupt download and that's why you are in fastboot. Now how to get out of it I know how to do it for the Optimus M.....let me put some files together of what you need to get out of it and what you need to do. You do have a PC and not a Mac right? Cause I don't know what to do if you got a Mac....

Download this (I just put this together): FastbootOV.zip
Extract everything.
Open the extracted fastboot folder and install LG VZW_United_WHQL_v2.5.2.exe if you never instaled drivers before.
Reboot.
Open the recovery folder and copy and paste xionia_cwma_12518.6.img to "/android-sdk-windows/tools"
Open the extracted fastboot folder> open android-sdk-windows> While holding the shift key, right-click tools and press Open command window here
In the command window copy and paste this:
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase system

Now do this:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery xionia_cwma_12518.6.img
fastboot reboot

Tell me if it goes back to fastboot or recovery.

Part of my problem is also that it doesn't turn on unless connected to my pc or an outlet. whenever its connected to my pc, it just keeps rebooting and doesn't even go to fastboot mode. When it's connected to an outlet, it goes to fastboot mode.

o_O can you access recovery?
Home key+volume down+power button, hold it until you're in recovery.
Edit: if it doesn't turn on, hold those buttons and connect to PC.

Actually thats part of my problem... I don't have a recovery folder. I originally rooted my phone and installed clockworkmod. I then did a font change and unrooted my phone. I didn't like the font so i then factory reset my phone and it took me to clockworkmod. I had no idea what i was doing so i put xionia recovery on my sd card and flashed that. It then just takes me to fastboot right after it attempts to reboot it in recovery and then just stays in fastboot with the blue screen

Ah ok, so put it in fastboot, then connect to PC and do what I said.
Or does it turn off if you unplug it? If it does, your battery is dead.

No just after this all happened. I think i basically deleted like everything in the phone while in recovery

So it wont charge.....get a USB cable you don't use, cut off the end that doesn't connect to USB port, strip out the black wire, cut off the white and green wire, strip off the black and red wire to get to the copper, connect black to (-) and red to (+) on the battery terminals. Otherwise your last option is to follow my unbrick guide where you will zero out your MEID and other stuff...and you will have to reprogram the phone, I can't help you with that today, I'm going to Disney World.

when i plug it into the outlet, it says
android system recovery...
formatting cache...
formatting data...
performing factory reset..
Do not pull out battery!
Rebooting

It then reboots and goes to the blue screen with

Fastboot mode started
gpio_i2c: invalid khz: 0
bl: i2c write error
udc_start()

Yea....you don't factory reset a rooted Optimus v, even if you unrooted it, which you should never do. If you wanted to return to stock, I have a guide for that too, I just can't link you to anything...using phone.
