AT&T LTE in Buffalo NY

A couple people have reported that they are getting LTE with AT&T in Buffalo NY. Anyone in ese forums getting lte with AT&T in Buffalo Ny? If so what parts of the area? I am in the south towns and hope it arrives here soon too.

I noticed Wednesday evening that 4G LTE was running on my GSII Skyrocket. I'm in the Amherst area near the UB South Campus.

I did a few speedways from home and was getting download speeds consistently over 10Mbps and upload around 4Mbps upload indoors.

I was driving around near the UB North Campus where I usually get a better signal and had speeds or over 25Mbps download and over 17Mbps upload.

I did peak at around 38Mbps around the campus.

As of right now it's still running strong. I hope it stays this way and isn't in a test phase.

I think the most southern it is going is Milestrip Rd in Orchard Park and the most northern is North Tonawanda.

I visited the corporate AT&T store in orchard park. Here is what they said about LTE in Buffalo: right now it is a secret/silent launch, they will officially announce the AT&T LTE launch in September, it will go from about North Tonawanda to Orchard Park. Places like East Aurora won't see AT&T LTE until 2013. This was from a sales associate who was listening to me ask another sales associate about AT&T LTE. I am just a messenger.

The AT&T website now officially shows LTE on their coverage maps for Buffalo. Strange they did not put out an Official announcement

Im sure it will eventually. Good news for the area that Buffalo now has it.

Nice speeds. Do you notice an improvement with dropped calls? Is your signal stronger inside compared to hspa+? What phone are you using?

SGS II and i dont talk much so no dropped calls. Much stronger inside though I never had much of a problem.
