Just for giggles I contacted Google.

Brief of phone convo:

I see your order in system.
I cant provide you any information
I have no idea why customers that ordered after you would already have their info and tracking number.Their appears to be no ryme or reason sir.
No emails with info/charge will go out during weekend. next batch of emails will be on Monday.
Earliest you would get it would be Wenesday/Thursday depending when UPS gets tracking info.
You are going to get two days shipping as promised once it is charged and sent to UPS.
Can only deny deliverly or call CC company and have Google denied charge to cancel order.

Got an email from him forwarding it up to next level supervisior to explain the issue with processing out of order.

I do wonder if security concerns are the reason UPS is not giving out tracking info. In such a public shipment as N7 they may not want to help thieves know where the trucks are, or when to expect a package on their neighbor's doorstep. :driver::driver:

I placed an order on Amazon last night with 2-day and got a shipped message this morning. The tracking number doesn't show any data but ETA from Amazon says Tuesday. So My guess is if it's shipped this morning, then transit Monday, arriving Tuesday. Makes me think if my Nexus was shipped Yesterday I should see it Monday, but I'd think the UPS tracking would be updated by now if so. So most likely Tuesday. Here's hoping for Monday though.

Tried to cancel mine, and was told it was already shipped. Though how he knew when he didn't even take my order No??
I was told it was due for Monday delivery, but no tracking info yet, and no CC charged.
Not bothered about getting it first, just bothered about paying the extra that Google wallet ask to get something the same time as every one else who payed less. And still get the extra content that Google made out to be exclusive IMO.

They have been telling people that they can't cancel for the last week, it's part of the reason it has been so frustrating. If we can't cancel that must mean it's LITERALLY ON ITS WAY. I'd guess the CC charge is due to our banks being closed. I wouldn't over-spend this weekend ;-)

It has been a bit disappointing the way it has been handled, but it has turned into a self fulfilling prophecy. The Tech sites know full well that we want any news of the shipping date, so they have lead with headlines such as 'Could Ship Tomorrow' so that we'll click the link.

That then gets filtered back to us, the Chinese whispers effect the filters that into 'It's literally on its way'. Of course it never was.

Then a couple of naughty sites actually did start sending the things out (although not all that much sooner really) and that gets reported so we all began to think that ours were literally on their way . Of course they weren't.

It would have been helped if Google had just said something. If they had just reminded us when it was coming to calm the hysteria down, it's not like they don't have a million ways to communicate with us!
Anyway, the charges are appearing and finally the devices are LITERALLY ON THEIR WAY

Having it already shipped from Amazon is such a slap in the face. I ordered mine at 4:30pm on 6/27 and haven't received anything beyond the original confirmation. Upstate, NY.

One weird thing is looking at the confirmation email it says I ordered it at 9:30 gmt +1. Isn't that Europe?

There is no listing for a Nexus 7 at Amazon so I think he was mistaken. There is an Asus tablet so maybe that is what he ordered.

Just got my confirmation... UPS will only start showing details AFTER it gets checked into their first hub. Although after that it will show the pickup details and estimated delivery.... And 9 out of 10 times they will not update till a business day. So chances are we wont see any details till Monday (for anyone that got it the email early this morning).

Not exactly, but sort of. It has a full screen widget for the Play store right on the home screen so you see your books, movies, vids, etc.... right there. They are clearly encouraging you to buy stuff from their store. It's just a widget so you can easily trash it.

I got an email at 2:45 am that said my N7 has shipped from Google. Of course I already have the one I got from Sams. Google has not charged my card and I'm not sure how they could when I deleted my card from Google Wallet. Have they shipped me something without charging me? Extremely disorganized on their part.

Did you get the pending charge a while back... If so they have your info and will use that transaction to finish the purchase. It may take a while but they can do it.

Yesterday I stepped out for a few minutes and when I came home my wife proudly handed my a box from UPS. It was the case I ordered from Amazon 2 days earlier. Not an N7 but a nice, cheap case.

On a whim I stopped at Sams Club in Fargo and after 30 minutes of checking and phone calls, walked away with 1 of 5. There's still 4 more left. They didn't know they could sell them.

They had one on display, but no slips.

This morning I went to my local Sams and came away with a Nexus and 4 year warranty for about the same as I paid at the google play store. They had several of these units available but I went during business owners hours as I wanted to make sure I got mine.

Now I have to wait for the shipping notification by Google and then refuse the delivery when it finally arrives.

I'm just going to use a sleeve I had for my old Samsung Q1 until I can decide on a case. Curious on the release date and pricing for Asus's cases and hope they have the magnet for the auto sleep/wake.

I doubt it's our location. I ordered 2 on 6/30 for my brother and I in order to save on shipping and I got my tracker at 1030 last night. There really seems to be no pattern to this.

I hate to bring bad news but as long as I can remember UPS distribution centers aren't open on the weekends. Unless something has changed I would expect Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm pretty sure they started shipping yesterday and ups ships on saterdays they just don't deliver on Saturdays(unless specified) pretty sure if it was shipped and you got an confirmation email you'll get it Monday.

I did order the $20 case (yes, I'm an idiot), maybe that has something to do with it? If they're not in then perhaps they won't ship the N7 without it.
