Marble white question......

Hi,
sorry, this is one of those first world problems  ..........
I usually have black\dark phones so this hasn't been an issue up and till now. I really like the look of the 'marble white' S3 because it looks really cool and is a change to the usual darker phones. I'm really torn between the two.

The issue for me is that i often watch a couple of youtube videos in the dark just before i go to sleep.
So my question Is, does the white border around the S3 screen become distracting while watching a video in the dark or performing other tasks? Does the glossy finish reflect the light from the screen too much to become annoying?

My questions are really for the guyz and galz that have experienced and used or own the marble white version of the Samsung galaxy S 3.

Thank you very much in advance.

I would have to say No, No and No!

I was in the same boat, I have always owned dark/black phones up until this one. I opted for the white as I feel the pebble blue was a better fit for my wife. That said if sammy would have had a black option I would have jumped all over it.

Anywho the white is not a distraction at all. I use my phone to read myself asleep at nite and no problems with it or reflections.

Hope this helps. :)

This perspective is from watching online video reviews and pics, and pics with cases on. I was wanting to go with the white but everytime I saw it online, I did find it less appealing and distracting. So both DH and I ended up getting the pubble blue (I also really like the striations on the blue which is really more of a dark grey). I also much prefer the look of the PB with the different cases.

HOWEVER, this is just MY opinion and I opted not to get it so if you're wanting it, listen to those who have it rather than my decision making process. Just check out some of the pics with cases before you decide completely. In the end, if you love the white, go for it.

For whats its worth, I had the blue but exchanged it for the white. I'm really glad I did. The white looks awesome, and the display seems to pop out more.

But that's not to say the blue isn't really nice too. I would've kept it if it were truly blue. It looked grey, black and gun metal in different lighting. If it was a light blue like on the sides no matter the lighting condition, I never would've switched.

thats why i went with the white. ive had black phones for probably 8yrs now, so i decided to go with the white 32g. i personally love it, it looks fantastic and in regards to your questions, absolutely not. i watch a ton of movies and tv shows on my phone, for instance i just got done watching the entire first season of breaking bad on my S3 and you cannot even notice the border or any reflection what so ever. honestly the boarder in pretty minimal to begin with and the screen is so sharp, colorful and vibrant that your eyes are just fixated on it,

I had the same concerns...even went to 3 different Sprint & ATT stores to check out the two colors before Verizon got them since I pre-ordered. I went with the white because everyone I was asking said it looked more professional. I actually thought the pebble blue back was glossier & would reflect when photo snapping.
I don't notice the 'picture frame' white edging as much as I thought I would when playing videos. I think the case I got helped...went with a double cover white hard shell with gray silicon insert by Incipio that subdues the glossy plastic look. I just thought the blue pebble looked too brush metal or purple. If you on ATT, you may want to wait for their Red one coming out soon.
Agree with the other comment that the pebble blue does give you an illusion of a larger screen when turned off.

The only time the white bezel is slightly distracting is in bright light when the light is reflected back to you while trying to see the screen, but this is rare. As a side note, there's no worry about the white frame becoming "dirty" either since it's got the polycarbonate coating on it. The white is super sweet and you'll probably love it!
