Hair spray, perfume, also works. (happened to be the only thing in my hand at the time)

I only kill black widows. I'm pretty ok with the rest.

I hate all spiders. I will kill them. I have a bad case of arachniphobia, and if a spider is spotted in my house, I will destroy it with whatever means I have at my disposal. Shampoo bottle, bar of soap, clothes hanger, etc., If my piercing scream doesnt kill it, then I will find somthing that will.

I tried it and no go. Pot boiled over. Sorry, but we need an official fact checker.
This is something I used to do with a combination of oil in the water (for pasta). It does not full stop it, but it does lessen the boil over.

I hate when people kill spiders, it is so senseless. I'm claustrophobic, yet I don't attack closed in spaces when I see them. I just avoid them and closed in spaces do less good than spiders do.

The color on the bread tab indicates how fresh the bread is -

And those colors are in alphabetical order: b, g, r, w, y.

The bread we buy is always a yellow or green tab with the date printed on it (my son saves the tabs for some unknown reason, but only the green ones). The brand next to ours is always white again with the date on it.

Stuffing a dryer sheet in your back pocket will repel mosquitoes.
If the stuff on a dryer sheet repels mosquitoes, and presumably you use them on your clothes when you dry them, wouldn't just wearing your clothes do the same thing? If it's really true, that is...

You can mail anything that will take a stamp and weighs less than 13ounces without a box?
I tried that a 12 oz. cube of Jell-O, and they refused to take it. :D

one dryer sheet with 20-30 pieces of clothing is diluted too much, the one sheet in pocket is full strength.:D:D

Full strength what?

A lot of scientific tests have been done about mosquito repellents, and the long-time and still champion is DEET. Some other chemicals work well enough to consider. None of the folk remedies, including citronella work well enough to be practical.

There's another problem with dryer sheets. The perfumes they put in them attract stinging insects like bees and wasps. I don't want to get stung by a wasp even if it does keep mosquitoes away!

here in fla mosquitoes come out at night and the bees are gone home. way too hot here for them to be out in daytime. i know the US is having a heat wave but it is like that here from may to oct all the time every year. so if your having mosquito problems during the day then stick to deet, nobody's twisting your arm, LOL!!

also i have a friend that lives down near the everglades and when he mows he has long pants with elastics around ankles, long sleeve shirt, a bee hat with screen around neck, gloves,ect... and they have a second house here in south central fla, and they come up here to be outside. he said that nothing workks down there. he says you just don't go out at all.

I think I'll retire to the desert, based on that knowledge.
