[Verizon] [ROM][4.1.1] Bugless Beast

Pete just uploaded a new JB bootloader to his site. Here's my question:

Do I flash it as a zip, the same way as I would a mod or rom?
Do I need to wipe or clear anything first?
What are the benefits of this compared to the ICS rom? Faster boots, is that all? Knock on wood but my boot times have been terrific on the stock ICS bootloader I currently have. Pete suggested installing his new JB bootloader, but I can't help myself from asking why. :)

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm headed back to the stock JB kernel for now, I've have several lock ups with LeanKernel.

Where would one find the stock kernel? LeanKernel is running fine on mine but it'd be nice to know :)

And I honestly don't know what the benefit to the JB boot loader is. I've been running the ICS bootloader and can't be happier so why fix what ain't broke

I'm not sure where you can get the stock kernel separately but I just re-flash the BB build than I'm on and it replaces the kernel with the stock one.

Quick questions: Do I go ahead and flash this, or wait for ICSourcery to upgrade to JB? Been on sourcery about 3 weeks now with no problems.
Do I back up the files on my "sd" make a Nandroid and re format? I'm sorta ok with flashing ics roms, but unsure on this to JB. Some guidance is appreciated..
Can I use cwm touch or power down and boot into recovery...?
Thanks!

However you would go about flashing an ICS rom would be the same process for a JB rom :) just make sure you do a clean wipe before flashing (cache, dalvik, and factory reset). All your files (pictures, music, etc...) will be saved but it never hurts to make a backup. Just make sure you don't wipe your SD otherwise your files will be lost.

Also no one is really sure when developers will start pushing out our favorite roms including Sourcery, Liquid, AOKP, etc... So if you can handle the wait then you can, but at least a few weeks I'd say

Thanks!!! The Team Sourcery seem "slower" to put out a new rom but when they do it is very solid and well worth the wait. I kept bouncing from BAMF, Liquid and Eclipse and found everything I liked about them on Sourcery, and nothing I didn't like in the others.
Hate to mess my phone up doing something, This phone IS my internet connection. I have to have tether working so I usually wait until things settle before I flash.
again Thanks!

Hey so quick question for anyone that would know but I could have sworn that when I first flashed JB, the notifications were expanded by default in the notification bar. Now for some reason they're always in the ICS style. Does anyone know how to change this? I like the expanded versions and would rather not have to do it manually each time

The dev would have to add the feature to the ROM, I'm sure we'll see it soon enough.

Take two fingers close to the bottom of the notification and drag it down. It works for me.
