Help Okay, so this will be redundant I'm sure, don't hate...

PLEASE...

I got the Razr Maxx in April... THIS PHONE ROCKED!!! .... on GB. The night before I got the ICS update, my phone bricked itself. Would not do anything. SO, I plugged it in the charger (battery still had like 70%) as it was past the closing time for the local VZW store. The next morning, I get the update.

Now, my battery sucks, my phone reception sucks (dropped calls and the like, NEVER an issue before), and my 3g sucks... (again, never an issue before). When I get around 4g coverage, the phone is very good again from what I can tell. It seems like I only get good reception when I am literally within sight of a tower.

I went to the VZW store, no help. Called VZW Tech, they had me do a SIM pull and did something at their office, then reinstall the SIM and fire it up. No help.

I bought this phone for the battery life. Now my apps are buggy, stopping and stuff, and the battery and service sucks. The next step they say is a factory reset, because some "files" may have not loaded correctly.

Does anyone have any help they can offer? I knew my way around GB okay, but when it comes to CDMA/LTE and all the settings options buried in there, I'm lost. Thanks, sorry for being redundant...

Have you tried to Clear the cache....

Step 1: Power off your RAZR
Step 2: Hold the Power, Vol. Up and Vol. down key all at the same time for 10 seconds
Step 3: Once the Recovery menu comes up Vol. down to Recovery
Step 4: Push Volume Up to select and wait for an Android with a Red open front to appear
Step 5: Scroll to Clear Cache Partition and select with the Power Button
Step 6: Once it completes choose reboot phone

Some apps that worked in GB do not in ICS. Unfortunatly, you will not know till after the update is done. I would suggest (as a techie and work with devices/settings all the time) go to google playstore and get an app called my backup. Backup your data 1st, sms, mms, call log, settings, etc... then do apps backup. This will backup all install (apk) files. Then remove the sd card, do a factory reset. After its done put sd card back in. After you log into google and put all contacts back, go back and install my backup again and restore data stuff 1st, then apps.. it will put all stuff back prior to the wipe. There is a 4g toggle you can use that will keep you razr on 3g mode if you need to. If you need more assistance you can email me at tech_nokitty@yahoo.com. i hope this helps..

Okay, did all this. Got the LTE Thunderbolt toggle app going (3g only toggle), and my computer still does not do anything but charge it. ALSO, it won't play videos from webpages... other than that, in my 4g area, battery lasted two days, and it was smoking fast. Just no videos... and like I said, computer won't recognize it, just wants to charge it.

Okay, I am running dolphin hd now, set as default. STILL WILL NOT PLAY videos, and locks down the browser, even with support flash option checked. This is about to get on my nerves...lol. BUT if I go to my youtube app, it works. WTF. Any other site won't do a thing except lock up the browser. Which I have not un froze as of yet. Going to have to uninstall and then install again when I get this fixed. It does the same thing in the orginal browser as well. Hit the play button, and it will down load, and count like it's playing, but nothing.

OH IT APPEARS that the LTE Thunderbolt toggle app fixed my 3g reception. Thanks for that...
