[Verizon] [ROM]JDX (formerly Jelly Belly) AOSP+ - v15 (7/28)

Just make sure to follow the process recommended by the Dev:
Wipe
install JellyBelly and GAPPS
fix permissions
reboot
then install mods, wipe dalvik, reboot...etc

I checked first thing with CPUSpy.....and with a 5:04 min test, I had 4:56 deep sleep.

Hopefully it works that way or similar for most people. I do not have a lot of apps pushing data but I am in a crappy signal spot...inside of a concrete building.....and no wifi....at work.

Good luck, as this is definitely a fully functional build.
any other mods other than the ones in the op?

So I tried to enable Light Flow, and it turned on talk back in both chrome and stock browser, as well as in the Facebook app... I guess light flow is still no go in JB?

Has always worked perfect for me. Occasionally it decides not to work, but it did that to me on ICS as well. I just open up the app and wait till it's done "initializing apps" and then it works again

Ok, so I just got JB 3.6 flashed and everything seems to be working well except this. I have Leankernel 4.1 and Leantweaks flashed, but when I go into the console terminal, press "12" to access the "USB Quick Charge at Boot" menu, then press "1) Enable Fast Charge at Boot", I get a message that says:
Code:
USB quick charge at boot enabled.
/data/leantweaks/leantweaks[3897]: ffc: not found
And when I go into my battery stats afterwords, I see that it's still charging at USB speeds instead of AC. So were you able to enable fast charge on this JB ROM with Leankernel? If so, which kernel did you use? I don't think I'm on an experimental, just his newest 4.1 stable build.

Thanks!

Quoting for help. I need fast charge at work or my phone dies even when on the charger :(. Mostly because I get really weak signal in my building.

TIA.

Wow, Ginny's running a fever! :(

Going to put her into deep sleep for awhile, see if she cools off. If not, I may be facing a clean wipe and/or a nandroid back to 3.5.

ka24, if your phone is plugged into the wall and eating battery faster than it's charging, then there is a problem unless you have EVERYTHING running at once.

This was an issue for me on the early JB ports. Since source was dropped, all of the AOSP ROMs I have tried corrected this issue. My phone did get very hot while charging on 3.4 and after a few hours of charging it was cool again but only showed 7% battery life. Rebooted and it showed 100%. Not sure why...but figured I'd share in case anyone else see that happen to them.

GPS lock...instantly. This ROM is a beast!!! :D

sorry for the delay!

i tried it on the experimental kernel and it didn't work either

so i decided to go into franco's kernel app and try it out and it worked fine

so i suggest buying his app (it has a bunch of other helpful features as well and works for franco and lean)

then go to settings and enable fast charge

If it dies while on charger, I think either the charger or your phone are broken somehow.

That has never happened to me...

No, my phone and charger/cable are fine. Like I said; I'm in a weak signal area, so the phone is constantly trying to connect and sync and it murders the battery. I have the phone charging off my monitor's USB port because I don't have a wall adapter at work or an outlet to plug one into, so it charges at USB/550mA speeds instead of AC/1A speeds like it does with fast charge enabled.

This is what I am using...sorry it took so long to respond. I am running Lean 4.1.0exp and enabled it in the Franco Kernal paid app...and I leave it checked. Works as a fast charge, and still lets you connect to the PC at the same time.

I ran 3.5 yesterday but battery life was horrid. So as per usual I'm back to aokp lol. Jb is nice and all but until it gets a bit more established I don't think I'm gonna bother flashing. Its breaking my heart. Lol.

For what it's worth, battery life on 3.6 seems to be better. I have noticed that all JB ROMs seem to use excessive battery while playing games. Idle seems to be on par with ICS ROMs but you can drop 15% playing a game for 15-20 minutes.

Battery life seems to be pretty good so far on 3.6 but I don't play games on my phone anymore. Since I bought a Kindle Fire around the first of the year and have been running CM9 on it I play all my games on my Fire....until my Nexus 7 arrives, then I'm selling it. :)

Anyone else??

I just tested it and it's working fine for me.

How do you know your mms is going over wifi or not? Don't mind checking mine, just need to know what/how you're doing it.

mms/sms are never sent over wifi. That is part of the Gnex's problem even on a stock config. Because of the poor handoffs it does for the Wifi/Cell radios it's hard to sometimes send/receive mms.

MMS/SMS are not technically considered data. Therefore they are always sent over the Cell radio. This is why you also pay a price per message for incoming and outgoing when traveling abroad.

When my WiFi is on, my MMS' aren't sending

more than likely you are experiencing hand off problems with the device. It could be the Rom. Did you have this problem in the past when you were on other roms or even stock? If you're in a bad coverage area usually this happens. For instance at home i have garbage reception and can hardly ever receive/send mms.

Haha I think you meant to reply to the guy I was responding to. You and I are on the same page. It should not be draining that fast.

I am interested to know what all you have tweaked/running with yours for it to have such "horrid" battery life. lol Is there a quick "nutshell" rundown?

It's probably more than what I am doing to mine, but for it to have battery life that bad, something must not be gellin'.
