I am starting this thread because I have found it very difficult to find quality accessories for this phone. If you have found any accessories that you believe may be useful or a good find, I would be very interested in where you found them. I am looking for an otterbox defender like case. But would love to hear about anything y'all might have found.

That Incipio, from the looks of it, seems like an OtterBox type case. It has a inner silicone layer and outer PolyCarbonate shell.

If I end up moving from VM/OptimusV to the Boost/Marquee, that would be the case..

Yes. It comes in two pieces. The soft inner shell has raised bumpers on the corners, camera, and speaker. The hard, outer shell fits seamlessly between the bumpers to give the phone a slick look. I have also found it much easier to use the hardware buttons. It does add a little "heft" to this thin phone. But it came with a screen protector too.

As far as cases go, I just ordered a fishbone case for mine. Its like an otterbox but not as expensive. I ordered a silicone case as well. They are all at Amazon.

This is the link for the Fishbone case:

This is the link for the silicone case:

RE: Incipio 2 layer case

I read a review on Amazon for this case and the person claims that some of the ports do not line up correctly. She said the headphone jack is not accessible or does not line up, is this your experience? The Otterbox for my Optimus V fits perfectly, everything lines up spot on and the case fits together as one nice unit.

Mine line up okay, I've never had any problem with the jacks. But it does add to the thickness, kind of a shame for such a slim phone. And there is quite a bit of flex, meaning you can pull on the sides, top, and bottom to separate it. the buttons, especially the power, are easier to use.

I tried mine first at a local cell shop that sells the Ignite before buying it, and there were not that many options available at that time.

If I could. I might try to find a slimmer case...

hope this helps...

Bought a TPU cover from Amazon before getting the Marquee to protect it from scratches. With cover on, phone thickness is about 12mm and without it's 9mm so doesn't add too much thickness. Phone doesn't feel like it will fall right out of your hand, almost had a heart attack when I nearly dropped this phone without a cover because it just slides off too easily. Great quality cover and feels really durable.

Amazon - Translucent Smoke Flexible TPU Cover
Amazon - Black Flexible TPU Cover

Because the angle of the power button on this phone, pressing it with the cover on isn't easy. One of the reviewers had a simple fix and it works great.

Hi, just came across this post. I was actually the one who posted that Amazon review.

Just to clarify: I didn't say "all" ports didn't line up. I said the earphone jack at the top, because of where it lined up & the thickness of the case didn't allow my earphone jack to plug all the way flush, so I couldn't plug it into my aux jack in my car to listen to Pandora. And that truly was the deal breaker for me.

Also, the outer piece on the right side of the phone, didn't sit into the inner piece flush either. I found the silicone piece to be very flimsy. Maybe that's what all silicone pieces feel like, but I didn't think it was worth $29.99 (at that time-they've since reduced the price to $22.54). The other thing that didn't line up was the screen protector. Seems as if it was just cut a tiny bit off and when my husband installed it (lining it up exactly against the edges of the screen), there was a bit of the screen protector right on the camera lens. So he had to remove it & move it to the right a little more.

Now, could I have gotten a defective one? Maybe. But for $30, I really expected something "heftier". It certainly doesn't compare to an Otterbox (which is what their website made it sound like). This case ("to me") really didn't feel like it would protect more than the $5 fish-bone case I had gotten my daughter. Which I ended up getting myself one after returning this one, and the silicone piece was just as flimsy as the Incipio. The Incipio outer piece felt a little sturdier, but I just couldn't justify $30 for the Incipio.

I dropped my phone in a parking lot with the fishbone case & it fell right on the corner. The right side top & bottom outer piece cracked, but my phone was fine.

Hope this clarifies my review on Amazon. To reiterate, the Incipio is a decent case, for about $10-$15, but not $30.

Since my fish-bone case cracked, I'm actually looking at the Trident Case AG-LG-LS855-BL for the LG Marquee/LG Optimus Black . This is the blue case, but they have other colors. (Sorry, since I'm new here, I'm not allowed to post the link, but if you want to see it, just copy/past my description into Amazon & you'll see it)

Still debating since in phone cases, more expensive doesn't necessarily translate into more protection, but I'm still researching & leaning in this direction right now.

Black Premium Silicone and Hard Plastic Phone Case w/ Stand for LG Marquee LS855
Compatible: LG Marquee LS855

Material: Silicone Rubber + PC Plastic

I have this, its nice but the case leaves marks on the screen protector where it sits on the phone and its a bit bulky

I thought I saw something about this in the Marquee forums, but I can't seem to find it again and figured this would be the place to ask it. Are there any physical keyboards that will work with the Marquee? The Logitech one looks pretty sweet but it does say Android 3.0+ so I figured I would see if anyone has found other alternatives.

I know for a fact that there are a few apps that will allow you to connect a keyboard. Can't remember the names but they are out there.
