Clear TPU Gel Case Cover for Samsung Galaxy S III S3 i9300 Phone | eBay
may or may not be the same, but it's got better pictures.

Tempted. It looks like it's a totally clear TPU case with enough of a front lip for some protection.

This is the exact same one my daughter bought from the same seller. It looks good on her white phone but when I put it on my blue phone it looks like crap, in my opinion. The blue is washed out and more whitish blue. For whatever reason the inside of the back has a matte finish. It doesn't really effect the white phone but it sure does effect the color of the blue one.

Nice looking case and looks to offer great protection for a great price. Just too bulky and a bit of a lint magnet for my tastes.

It kind of is a lint magnet, but just around the front edge where the inner rubber layer is exposed ( and just at the top front edge on mine probably because my hand doesn't touch this part in regular use), and for a more protective case than most, it is thin.

I got a gray Incipio NGP (their version of TPU) case for my blue S3. It's a really good case, very thin, a lip that covers the entire front, good cutouts, and actually looks pretty good against the blue. The only downside is it's almost as slippery as the phone itself which could be a deal breaker. I'll have to test it out a little longer.

Ok so I ordered a Diztronic TPU case from Amzon(having previously used Diztronic with my Skyrocket)

Unfortunately, I am having to return it. The case fit the phone perfectly, BUT, it would not fit with my Moshi Screen Protector that I got at AT&T.

I ordered the Elsse cover so hopefully that will fix my problem. I'll know more tonight when it is delivered today.

Does anyone have this case?

If so, I'd love a mini-review and maybe a couple of pictures.

I really like the idea of a clear case to show off the phone. This one definitely looks clear and also has cutouts (I wound do a TPU w/o power/volume cutouts).

How do you think it would compare with the Diztronic TPU case?
Diztronic Matte Back Clear TPU Case & SP for Samsung Galaxy S3 - $9.90 : DIZTRONIC.COM, - TPU Cases for Android Phones

From what I've heard, though, this Diztronic clear one is not very clear (it's like clear frosted). The ebay one looks almost totally clear.

Some of the S-Curve TPU cases I was looking at have a little lanyard attachment area near the lower right corner on the back of the phone.

You can identify them by the small bump with two holes in it. When looking at photos of these cases, I thought the area was some sort of vent. Once I got the phone, I realized there is nothing there to vent.

Those holes have to be for a lanyard attachment.

The two S-Curve TPU cases I bought off ebay both have them.

So, it looks like I'm hardly alone in looking for a clear case to show off the pebble blue model. A lot of the clear cases on Amazon seem to be frosted, so great for the white model, but not so much for the blue.

I found this one by Belkin, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it:

Amazon.com: Belkin Grip Sheer Case for Samsung Galaxy S III / S3 (Clear): Cell Phones & Accessories

Only two reviews, but it seems to offer pretty much what I'm looking for:

-TPU construction
-Clear, shows off the blue
-Thin, but has a lip to raise the front of the phone when placing it down
-Buttons take a bit more force to push

This last point might be a serious negative for many, but I find both the power & volume buttons a bit too sensitive, so I'm actually happy to read this.

Only downside is the price--$25 vs. around $10 for comparable cases. I'm waiting to see a few more reviews, and if it holds up, I'll likely pick it up next week some time.

I'm not sure if you didn't see my reply (#904) the last time you asked this same question about the clear Ebay case or you just want a second opinion... Regardless, no more pictures are necessary. The ones shown on Ebay are the real deal and my pictures would look the same. I won't repeat myself for the rest of the questions. Check out post #904. I have no idea about the Diztronic case. If it has a matte finish then it's just like the one on Ebay that you linked.

Sorry, I did see that, I was just looking for more details.

How's the feel? How's the fit on the phone? How does it grip? Does it attract lint? Button cutouts all good? Seems like it's decent quality and will last? Seems protective? Decent lip on the front? Camera protected with a little lip on the back? Even though the power/volume have cutouts, are they easy to access/push or does the TPU around it get in the way some?

Anything else along those lines you can tell me?

Appreciate the help.

I saw the Verizon Blue TPU case last night in a store. I didn't open the box but there is a cutout so you can feel it. It is a glossy TPU style. I am wrestling a bit with the color. I was running to the train so didn't spend a lot of time with it, but it seemed the color was a little on the pukier blue side that I had hoped. I really want a NAVY BLUE case and it seems the Diztronic might be a little darker navy.

Does anyone have both the Diztronic and the Verizon cases side by side to compare? I thought a prior poster had ordered both.

Thanks

I have the Verizon/Belkin blue one and the elago indigo cases - both match perfectly color-wise and I promise that once you put it on the phone, you'll never see it. They both virtually disappear. I am currently using the Belkin case though, as it's a bit grippier than the elago and makes it easier to push the power and sound buttons. I like the look of the elago better though, as it's a slim fit instead of a wrap-over. Still, they both look great on the blue phone.

I don't think the diztronic would look much different, but I think you'll find that a navy blue will actually contrast with the phone's color instead of matching it. Which, if that's what you're looking for, may be a better choice.

My silicylic case came in today... I'm a little disappointed. It looks good, doesn't add much bulk at all which I really like. But the silicone layer is pretty loose on mine, and yeah its pretty slippery.

Did someone say earlier that the otterbox commuter adds about the same amount of bulk? I can't remember lol

What color Sylicrylic did you get? I might be interested in taking it off your hands if the price were right :) (It is used after all :))

After using soft plastic wraparound cases for forever, which almost all seem to add a lot of bulk to any phone, I decided to try a Casemate Barely There(wanted the Spigen which is very similar but looks even better but not out yet). Love it! Way better feel than the soft cases to me, as it actually feels like you're holding the phone, not a case. Adds minimally to dimensions, just doesn't feel bulky. It has that softish, matt slightly grippy feel that works well for finger traction. I will seriously never get another bulk case again. Caveat - it admittedly doesn't protect the front face as good as a wrapper does. I don't care. :)

Since it's my daughter's case on her phone I'll ask her the questions and quote what she says...

Sorry, I did see that, I was just looking for more details.

How's the feel?

"Smooth, comfortable."

How's the fit on the phone?

"Fits well, not too loose, not too tight"

How does it grip?

"It grips fine even though there aren't any ridgy things. Goes in and out of my pocket without sticking."

Does it attract lint?

"No, TPU doesn't do that."

Button cutouts all good?

"Yes, no problems."

Seems like it's decent quality and will last?

"Yes, nice finish."

Seems protective? Decent lip on the front? Camera protected with a little lip on the back?

"Yes and yes. Not exactly a lip around the camera. Just like every other TPU case..."

Even though the power/volume have cutouts, are they easy to access/push or does the TPU around it get in the way some?

"Sigh...Yes! They're easy to push! Jeez! What's wrong with this guy?! Are you just making this up?" (Her words, not mine):D

Anything else along those lines you can tell me?

Appreciate the help.

No, nothing else to tell. My daughter almost got up and walked out because she thought I was messing with her asking so many questions about a super cheap phone case. I think you ask more questions for something that costs less than $8.00 than anyone I've ever come across. Dude, it's a super cheap phone case that's pretty much exactly like a million other TPU cases. Just buy it already. You must have a hundred pages of questions when you buy something as complicated as a car. Worst case of "Analysis Paralysis" ever...;):D No, it's cool. Just funnin' ya!;) Hopefully this helps you in your decision making process.:)
