Droid bionic user but new to pads. Just got my 700t. Can anyone recommend the best case to get, also stylus.

Anyway to get home page button on the default browser.

Also many apps seem to be missing the menu button since there is no hard button like the phone. Any trick to fix this?

Is rooting already figured out for this?

Best place to order dock, seems like places selling above list.

I know this is alot of questions but anyl help much appreciated.

I won't say it's the best. I will say it's the most expensive :D

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF201 Tradition leather case | Noreve - Haute Couture for Mobile Devices

Mostly, I wanted something like the "Smartcover" for the iPad, ie minimal profile and only covers the screen, but nothing similar out there for us. Took a flyer on this because it SEEMS to be the lowest profile with front and back protection. At least I'm sure the leather will feel nicer than silicon.....

Won't get it for a week (from France, custom order because I didn't choose black so no returns). Hope I like it.....

The good: Soft, low profile (why get a sleek tab and then bulk it up with a case), works as a stand, protects front and back.

The bad: No returns. Expensive.

novox77, I'm not sure the Prime dock is compatible with the Infinity. If you look on the ASUS site, it says that the Infinity dock can be used with the Prime, but NOT vice versa.

Plenty of people have confirmed that the Prime dock works with the Infinity. The question is if there exists a new dock made for the Infinity.

Everything I've been able to find online points to the fact that there is NOT a TF700 specific dock. The dock that goes along with the infinity IS the Prime dock (TF201). However, I did find a comment from an ASUS rep on Amazon that said that the physical dock is the same (hence it carries the TF201 model number), but the battery that comes with the TF700T-DOCK is "smaller."

Not sure what "smaller" means.... is it physical size or capacity? If the dock is the TF201, then I have to assume there is no different in physical size; otherwise it wouldn't fit. Regardless, the dock itself is the Prime dock with a different battery. The rep also goes on to say that if you have the Prime dock, just update the firmware, and it will work with the Infinity.

This whole dock issue is prety strange. I thought I read somewhere that there was something different about the new dock other than the battery. I'll wait a few more days to see what shakes out. I did order the stylus recomended above and a thin simple cover from amazon, "i-Blason Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T TF700 10.1 Tablet 100% Genuine Leather Folio Carry Case + Stylus / Cover With Adjustable Stand" for $17 so we will see how it is when I get it Tuesday.

For a TF700T case, I recommend the CaseCrown faux suede sleeve cover for the Transformer Prime. It will hold either the tablet alone or the tablet + keyboard very nicely. You can get it for $7.21 from Amazon. Be sure to get the 10.5" Prime case, not the 11.0" OG case. They also have a very nice leather TF700T portfolio for about $16.

For the browser, go to the PlayStore and get ICS Browser +. Install it, then go to settings, enable thumb controls, then add "Home" and "Add Bookmark" to the thumb controls. Also, set the default for all web pages to "desktop".

I have a supposedly legit TF700T keyboard on order from Amazon. It may be a month before I get it. My Amythest Grey tablet is damn near charcoal. I don't want a silver dock.

Hope this helps (I also have a Bionic) ...

Amazon has the dock. HOWEVER: if you read some of the reviews, you'll see that the dock is really the TF201 (Transformer Prime) dock, even though the description says TF700 and is pricier. So I would just look for the TF201 dock and get that.

I bought the TF201 (Prime) dock at Best Buy for $99.99 on July 30th. Free shipping to store for customer pickup. Perfect match and it works great.

I just received my TF201 dock to use with my TF700. So far so good. No hiccups. Although I found it weird that I didn't have to install any firmware updates to get it to work.

There is another thread regarding keyboards that lists the supposed differences between a 201 dock and a 700 dock. It supposed to have a smaller battery and be better balanced when connected to the tablet. However I've read that many of those that have thought they had a 700, had nothing different from the 201 (besides a notation on the box). I wonder if there is a TF201 dock, a TF201 dock labeled as TF700, and a true TF700 dock. I see the latter as being mythical so far.

There are two distinct docks. The dock made for the Infinity will have the following info on the box:

tf700dock1.jpg

The Infinity was designed to use the same form factor dock as the TF201 dock; hence the model number for both will indicate TF201 Mobile Docking. However the Customer P/N for the Infinity dock will state TF700T-DOCK-**.

As has been mentioned in other threads here, the TF700T has a slightly smaller battery capacity, and the true TF201 dock doesn't fit with the Infinity tablet perfectly, but it still works.
