Root How to Disable Camera??

My workplace doesn't allow cameras, and hence doesn't allow cameraphones (which is nearly every phone these days). However, they allow software solutions to disable camera features on phones. Does anyone know how to disable the camera on the Ally? I'm using Velocity 1.2. I'd prefer this to be semi-reversible if possible. Thanks!

Hmm, that sorta worked. When you mentioned Arc Camera, I remembered that Velocity scripts can disable system apps so I did that. However, certain other apps can still access the camera, such as barcode scanner. Do you think there's any command I can use in terminal emulator to completely disable the camera?

I'm having the same problem.
I have an application that is disabling the camera but other applications like barcode scanners are still working.
What do you mean by "opening it up and removing the camera"?
I have check other devices and some work OK and some don't.
Does any one have an idea what is the reason for this?
All devices are with ICS 4.0.3.
Thank you

I literally opened it up, took out the battery, unscrewed the case, and removed the camera. It just snaps in/out so it can be put back in if I ever really need it. I believe google included code in ICS to disable the camera at the request of enterprise customers, although I don't have an ICS device to test that on. Mine is Froyo so I'm out of luck.
