Disclaimer:

I've been running it for almost 4 days now. 2 with stock kernel and 2 with Franco r223. It is the smoothest experience I've ever had on the GN, another leap forward over the switch from ICS to JB. I'm really digging Apex for the first time ever and I've tried it several times in the past with ICS. My battery life on both stock and Franco is as good as its ever been.

What a joy to own this phone and keep improving the software. I keep thinking it has to peak at some point, but it keeps getting better, faster, smoother!

I was wondering... is there a mod for this that will give you more icons on the nav bar? I just can't handle the stock three. I looked but didn't find anything, otherwise I'd stay on it. I just didn't see any themes or mods for this.

There are no flashable mods for this ROM atm that I am aware of. Since Apex is built in I have gestures that perform any needed Nav bar soft key functions. Plus remember you have the built in search by long pressing the home soft key.

Very new to this. Can you explain (like you're talking to child, haha) what wipe clean means? I understand dirty means adding without taking something else away or adding right on top of and clean is the opposite but can you tell me how to wipe clean? Thank you as always.

Dirty = installing without clearing the data partition (you'd lose all your settings and installed apps)

Wiping (or formatting) caches refers to deleting the temp files Android uses.

So, if coming from a different rom (which I assume your are), you'd need to

  1. have unlocked your bootloader and rooted
  2. downloaded the rom and gApps (Google Apps)
  3. (optional) backup your apps with Titanium Backup
  4. boot into recovery
  5. backup your current rom
  6. wipe (format) cache partition
  7. wipe Dalvik cache (under advanced menu)
  8. install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, then select your rom
  9. install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, then select your gApps file
  10. reboot
  11. sign in with your wifi credentials
  12. sign in with your google acct
  13. open Play Store and reinstall your apps (or install Titanium and restore your apps).

Been running Jelly Belly 3.7 for a few days now, just missing all that customization stuff. Does this ROM have notification toggles similar to AOKP? Doesn't explicitly state it in the features... if so, anyone have a screen shot??

Yes it has the toggles. Looks exactly like aokp. Everything but a brightness toggle but there is a little surprise. If you turn off screen auto brightness you can slide your finger across the notification bar up top and control brightness that way. It's worlds better than it was in ICS on aokp.
