[Verizon] [ROM] [JB 4.2] XenonHD Stable-11.1 (7/3/13)

Question: You guys got me fully convinced enough to install this app, but, when I did, my phone had all of my apps and settings still stored. How would that be? I wiped and did like a normal ROM. I'm confused. The phone is working fine, has the correct version, and all of that. Only problem I've noticed so far is my Google Calendar keeps FC'ing. Suggestions or comments?

Thanks!

Welcome to AF btw :)

WHat ROM did you come from? You did not do a full wipe if everything was intact after flashing...if it all works then great your good to go. Although this could be why your calender is not working. Did you flash the gapps pkg that the developer recommends? Have you tried going into your app manager and wipe data on the calender app?

There is 1 working flashable battery mod that I know of works for xenon hd. It was posted by a member in rootzwiki in the xenon hd thread. Its a 2 digit counter style batt. And when the phone is charging it will read CH. It is in ics blue color. Only thing, its subjective, but i found it to be an eye sore. Its font is too big (larger than the clock font)

Im assuming they will build in battery mods just like aokp sometime in a near future update.
You could dl power controls app from the market and have your battery percent displayed in the drop down notification bar :)

So far so good!! Everything is running smoothly! I am trying trinity kernel which is good except for the preset color which is making the whites look bluish and it is driving me crazy. I don't think there is any way to change it either. Gonna flash Franco kernel and see what that's like. Still trying to play around and figure out all the new jellybean features.

Okay okay, you guys convinced me... I'm flashing Xenon right now!

I just need more customization options than Jake is giving me with bare-bones stock Jelly Belly. I hope to explore all the options the ROM gives me.

Rebooting now...
Xenon is pretty sweet I think you'll like it. Don't fix permissions no need here! =)

Trinity makes my phone look like the girl who ate the willy wonka gum and turned into a giant blueberry!

Anyways you can change the colors with his paid app.

I've been running franco r223 with xenon and love it underclocked to 1036MHz interactive gov. The stock kernel that comes with xenon (stock from Google) is excellent as well, I just like custom colors with the franco app.

Just downloaded r223 from Franco's app. Wiped cache and dalvik, then flashed. I got a "could not install (bad)" error and the android on his back with the red exclamation. Just rebooted and now it's optimizing apps (b/c the cache wipe).

I looked around and couldn't find anywhere that had md5's. Can you copy paste your r223 md5 so I can double check them?

Thanks.

OK, you guys have been really talking this ROM up and almost have me to the point of trying it. No circle battery mod and no mod's at all right now. :( Don't know if I like that.

I know Apex Launcher comes built in, but does Nova work? I really like the restore feature in Nova and prefer it right now over other launchers.

Also, are there any screen shots of this ROM? What's different/better than Jelly Belly?

Update: Found the screen shots on the rootzwiki op.

Ok, coming from JellyBelly 3.6 which worked really well for me, except the MMS over wifi issue, which really wasn't a big deal for me.

Went on XenonHD on Sat. It is really nice. Like the tweaks, the addition of the toggles is a welcome addition (although the Data toggle seems to be broken). I also like the T9 dialer integration among a bunch of other tweaks. Worth trying.

I did not flash the JB bootloader (for any of the JB Roms and I have tried most of them by now).

I also got the SuperSU update request and did it. No ill-effects I can see. I think you should be fine.

I couldn't get Nova Launcher to work w/ XenonHD but I saw in another forum that someone had used it.

One quick question for all you serial flashers who know the answer:

SuperSU is prompting me to update in Play.

Is that a reasonably safe thing to do?

EDIT: BB, it's not necessary to flash the JB Bootloader, but it sure would be helpful if you did :)

Chief,

I to just recently updated my SuperSU and no problems here.

What gapps are you guys running with this ROM? I noticed on his downloads he still has 7-15. I've been running 7-18 and didn't know if that would matter on this ROM or not.
