Wireless Charging Cover

Update**
So as you can see the VZW model back-of-phone and this wireless charging cover. The stock cover does not have the prongs/connectors that this Samsung one does. I tried it without the "special" back cover and no luck on a PowerMat.

And to support legitimacy that this is not a knock off.....

I got it at a vzw corporate (not authorized dealer) store. I'm not sure if they are really out yet cause I asked the guy why they didn't have them out and only in the back and he said we just got them in Friday. And I was like can you sell it. And he said if it rings out, it can be sold. So it rang out, and I bought it

Call me a Luddite but what is the attraction of spending $40 so you don't need to waste 2, maybe 3, seconds per day using manual dexterity to insert a micro-usb charger into the port on the bottom?

It is 2 to 3 seconds every time that you connect and disconnect your phone. My phone is on and off the charger all day. I grab it and go for meetings and such, then connect it again when I get back to may desk. Between meetings, lunch, and taking a dump, that is at least 6-8 connect/disconnects at work alone. Many days include even more. Simply setting my phone down and having it charge would absolutely be convenient. Take a very simple app that you use 6-8 times a day, would you be at least a little upset if, instead of opening instantly, it had a 2-3 second lag each time?

$40 may be too rich for your blood, but don't pretend like there isn't a convenience factor there.

I dont think it charges as fast as a usb connection either, plus i dont think it will work if a case is fitted.?

May not charge as fast, but I don't think that most cases are an issue for charging by this method.

Because my wife is constantly gouging her phones with the usb connector as she doesn't insert them straight in.

But more importantly, with it sitting on a night stand, I can reach for my phone in the middle of the night to check this or that and not have to fumble with a cable in the middle of the night.

I'm buying two of these plus pads the first chance I can!!!!

My wife abuses the cord by twisting and wrapping them up and eventually separates the cables inside. Now i don't have to spend $30 every few months for a new charger + we can charge our phones at the same time without crowding outlets

I just plug it in overnight and then use it during the day. If its getting low for some reason I'll plug it in at the office or airport or whatever, maybe happens one or two times a week. I don't want to carry around an inductive charger system all over the place just to avoid the plugging in maneuver.

Of course to each its own, and I did admit I'm a Luddite (albeit a Galaxy S3-armed Luddite!)

30 BUCKS for a new micro-USB charger? Jeez. I will sell you as many as you want for only $25.....you'll save money! (Of course I will get them from Ebay for $3.49 or whatever a normal micro-USB charger sells for) :D

All micros are not made equal, even the so-called universal ones. Those cheap ones can do serious damage to your phone and/or battery. But I digress...

I called a bunch of corporate stores today and non of them have even heard about it let alone have it in stock.

Well like i said i'm not even 100% if he was supposed to sell it to me.

I smudged any store info so it can't be traced back to my sales guy.. I need him NOT to get fired in case he wasn't supposed to sell it cause i get extra discounts when he's working. :D
