I have a hard time knowing if this counts or not. I would never have been able to detect anything if I hadn't stared really hard at it in a bright light edge on. There is a barely visible line of glass visible microscopically raised on the left side which doesn't show up on the right side. Without all the complaints about it in the forum, I would never have looked that hard. I still can't get worked up about it, though :).

I have the same. Took the back cover and off and tightened the screws, but it hasn't helped. I am debating whether or not to send it back to Google. If I hadn't read about it, I probably would never have noticed it, and it hasn't caused any problems or gotten any worse. It does bother my sense of OCD though :)

The poll seems a bit negative to me. Since my answer isn't up there, I'll say it in text:

"No, but if I did I'd get a warranty replacement from Google."

I really like my N7 and would just get it replaced if there was a problem.

I made it late at night. Sorry for the negativity. It's a mix of exhaustion and mine having screen separation. :)

...does anyone have any photos of this screen separation business? I don't think I've seen anything on that front.

Let me see if I can take a few photos.

Okay, I took a few really quick. Notice how in this picture, the silver frame is visible all the way from left to right. This is the right side of the tablet.

Now look at this one, and see how the silver frame disappears about halfway through. This is the left side of the tablet.

I have very slight separation in the upper middle left hand side, it gives very slightly when pressed, and you can see its just the width of a sheet of paper above the bezzel, but its so slight that I'm not too bothered. Certainly not worth RMA-ing it over.

Mine was pretty slight at first but seem to get worse as I used it. I assume that the heat once I started using it was the culprit. Replacement shipped.

Wow this is my thread and the name changed :) obviously I have the same problem and talked to Google today. Absolutely no problems with the rep who told me that my card will be authorized for 250 dollars and the hold will be taken off once Google gets the old unit. No where in the email I received did it say I have to buy another nexus 7. I carefully read everything and I can post the text but nothing about the device being tested. I don't understand what people are talking about.

Anyway I hope the new unit does not have this problem. Hope this also calms the nerves. :)

OK.. My screen isn't lifted per-se. However, the glass does seem higher above that point, there is still a whisker of rim there, but there is definitely less rim height above the glass here than elsewhere on the device.

If I squeeze the device there, I can hear the clicking/squishing noise mentioned.

Hmmm not really happy about it, but it is a cheaper tablet. If it gets no worse I can live with it.
