Laza 3460 Extended Battery Initial Thoughts (Update)

Just got my LAZA 3460mah extended battery (seeminly best battery for the price) did my first full charge over night so i just gotta run through the 5 cycles to get the full capacity and everything.
The battery so far seems pretty good had it on around heavy/med use 30 mins of video streeming in the morning some texting wifi on 3g on 25% brightness streaming tune in pro for about 30 mins and its at 77% after 4 hours and 30 mins. The screen is 86% of the battery as expected. Im hoping it will improve with the 5 cycles but so far happy.
A good thing is the battery monitor app reads the temperature of the battery just fine or so it seems the temp goes up and down as usual so thats a good thing cause i know anker batteries didnt have that.
The case is pretty cool compared to the others that effectively double your phone size completely this one is just a hump fitted to the battery and i cut out my TPU case to fit the hump and its a little raw in looks but i dont care cause it works and will protect the front of my phone so im happy with that to ill probally update after a few days to see how it works out for me.

Side note I have an extra brand new sealed battery and door that LAZA sent me I Guess they sent 2 cause of some mix up but they said i could keep it. So if anyone is interested would they want to buy it? I dont need 2 extended batteries. And i already have 2 HTC Official batteries...lol The pics show the extra one and the one i have installed

Here's a few shots of it all

UPDATE.
So ive had a few cycles on this battery and super exceeds my expectation and well worth the price which is not very high. I Normally unplug my phone in the morning and i have to charge 2-3 times before the end of the night and now i can easily go through out the day and not have to charge it once.
I get around 14 hours average is what the battery monitor app says with 80%+ being from the screen ofcourse. And ive cycled it about 4 times so far.

The battery maxes out at 4200mv and it seems like an accurate 3460mah and shows all the battery stats properly so it drains correctly and charges correctly. When a company dude talked to me when i had an issue with shipping he said that they take two of the legit batterys and combine them or something in there own case to make the extended battery happen. I guess thats possible? lol but whatever it works and seems like it.

As for charging. When i charge it it usually shoots up to 80-90% pretty quick like 4 hours or so and then i guess trickle charges then sticks at 99% till it fills up the 3460mah so it averages about 51/2 to 6 hours to charge the battery from dead (this is while not using the phone while using it may take longer havent tried it yet since im charging overnight)
The Battery even gets what seems to be accurate temperature readings which is a big plus cause i know ankers and other none offical batteries dont (correct me if im wrong?). I guess thats the benifit of using legit batteries in there battery?

As for the Back plate i actually like it alot compared to the other backplates other extended batteries offer cause it only protrudes at the battery hump and the rest of the case is the same build as the stock case so you can pretty much get a tpu case and cut out a whole for the hump and your good! (NOTE i messed up one tpu case doing this so i had to use an extra its kinda tricky! so practice on a cheap one unless your careful!)

But yea thats the update if you have any other questions or something i can try to answer them.

I still have brand new one still sealed up that they sent me on accident and said i could keep i dont need it at all! If anyone is interested let me know i have it posted in the clasiffieds on the forum too. Ill ship it for 10 bucks! Thanks

I'm having probs with this batt , seems to be lasting forever then drops like twenty % after a reboot, makes it through the day but I'm left wondering how much juice it really has left

Did you cycle it properly? are you sure its fully charged and does it happen everytime you reboot? I have rebooted once with it but the percentage actually went up a few notches not much but it did. I think a big part is making sure you cycle it to get the proper capacity and readings. As well as get the battery monitor widget it shows you the mah available as it charges so you know your getting fully charged and voltage and whats left on the battery and all that good stuff. And the battery calibration app to re calibrate the phone to that larger battery i think that helps but idk its what i did.

yeah its the same company. is it true that ankers are also good?

Yea ankers are very reliable and reputable they have 1900mah and 2400mah which requires a double thick back and had the exact same 3500mah battery with back like this one except there brand of course but they upped the price to liek 75 bucks it was 15 bucks for a while so idk why they did that its a rip off! Which is why i found and bought the LAZA and Idk if they have battery temp monitors in there batteries though. Cause thats what i heard and i had one for the triumph and can verify that the temps didnt change. Im just not sure if its in all there batteries.

Nocturnal, I've got the extended battery and have been trying to get my TPU case fitted properly but I keep screwing it up. I rubbed the edge of the extended battery part and placed it inside the TPU case so that a chalk outline was laid out, then I cut it with an exacto knife. The end result isn't very good, it's not easy to cut through TPU with an exacto knife. I've ended up with some jagged edges and gaps.

How did you manage to trim the case so that the extended battery fit?

I messed up one case before getting the second one right. I guess the key is to cut smaller than bigger so you have room to adjust and to correct errors. And twords the bottom of the case dont cut to low or it will become flimsy. And I used some sharp sizzors cause i didnt have a razor and they seemed to work out pretty well! Good luck! it takes some practice but just make the cuts smaller and work from there!

so battery has been cycled and i am pleased with this buy, with moderate use i can run on a full charge for nearly three days, even with heavy use it s hard to kill this battery in one day.. for those trying to fit the rubber case on, lol i was going to cut it too but couldnt decide how to do it best either, so i just put the case on the screen part now in stead of trying to fit it over the battery cover, its an extra step when you want to use it but i figure screen and corners need to be protected most right, and i can see notification bar throught the camera window to check n see if i got anything

I'm having a problem with the one I just got yesterday.

It says it has to go through 5 cycles before max capacity is reached, but I just can't get it to die the first time.

Worked a 12-hour shift and only lost 22% from the 88% I had after prematurely removing it from the charger before work. Got home, turned on wifi, bluetooth (paired to laptop), GPS with Navigation running, screen brightness to 100% locked on for about 3 hours... and now I'm down to 27%.

Turned on Netflix too now. We'll see how it goes. :p

EDIT: 60 minutes of Netflix with max brightness, wifi, bluetooth... and 13% dropped.

You can see where the assault began. Forgot the 45 minutes I copied things off my microSD card so I could toss in my new shiny 32GB class 10 card. Whoops.

Oh and for the record, those annoyed by a hard to press power button will love the backplate. Mine feels identical to the volume rocker now.

you couldnt force me to go back to tmobile, they have worse customer service than virgin and 10x the price, I was with them back when blackberry's were actually used. Not even some new amazing phone that could do everything including slice bread could bring me to them...

A friend has had there contract service for years and years and he has always had good service and my brother has it to and his coverage is good so imo it will be worth it plus i get the latest android has to offer with the nexus. VM has been dropping the ball to much with the outages on this phone thats why im moving plus ill save 5 bucks a month.

I have 3 replacement batteries and prefer to swap than make my phone any bigger but I saw a 3500 mah battery with cover from a US seller on ebay for $5 shipped, I'll post back after I receive it. For the price I'm willing to give it a shot.

That one will sadly and probally not be as good as this one you should of just spent 7 more bucks and bought this one its awesome and has a year warranty.
