Can you recommend an app that controls the sounds other apps make? (e.g. when sending alerts)

Hi

Can any of you recommend any apps that let you control the sounds that other apps make?

e.g. When an app sends an alert message, I would like to control what sound the phone makes and also whether or not it buzzes. Ideally I would like to be able to control the frequency of alert messages too. The strange thing is that I cant find any official way to change this sort of thing manually...

Thanks

J

Do we need an APP then? I have looked for options to control alert tones for SMS, or for Emails etc, but there doesn't seem to be a way. Can anyone clarify this for sure, so I can make a decision whether to get an App or not? Ta

You don't need an app to control them. When I answered to OP he asked if there was a way to control them all in one place, and that is what apps like Light Flow does.

To configure different notification tones go into the setting for the app. In the email app, goto settings, your email address, and you will see the option for notifications and you can choose a tone for email. For SMS, go into the messaging app, settings, and you will see a notifications option there where you can set the tone. Most apps that raise a notification have this option under settings, but some may be a little different.

I hope that clarifies it for you.:)
