[Sprint] Battery charge issues

I've read about this in XDA, I forget which ROM people were experiencing this on....Which ROM are you currently running? Did you do anything different today (download a few different apps, restore any type of data with TB, flash any mods, etc.)?

In any case, I'd first start off by wiping caches and rebooting and see if that fixes your problem. If not, do a FULL wipe and reflash the ROM you're running. If the problem still persists, flash a different ROM (after a FULL wipe of course)......Keep us posted.

I didn't do anything different today, it just started out of the blue. However....

I found a fix!

If this happens to anyone else, first unplug your phone from the charger. Go under settings, more.., and disable NFC. Plug the phone back in and then re-enable NFC. Worked like a charm (so far).

Apparently this is a common issue with the gnex and of course I seem to be the one to experience it. That's my luck, murphy's law.

Btw, glad to see the heavies all on tonight and quick to respond, good looking out. Now thats resolved, bar time!

Yeah on the Google forums people had mentioned the same problem. Many had to send theirs in thinking it was a hardware issues and the charging port was broken. Something I want to avoid. Of course a person who was rooted found this fix and was nice enough to share. Its not specific to any ROM or kernel (that I know of ) since it happened to both rooted and non rooted users. But NFC, really!? I would have never thought of that. I was already considering full wipe or nanding back to a different ROM and spending my evening trying to find a fix.
