Whatever it is, it will be better than my 9900 BlackBerry battery by miles.
Here is what RIM did, they usually had their Bold line of phones as the flagship phones which had 1550 mAH battery which made the phone easily last you for 1.5 or 2 days with moderate usage..
next, in August last year, they released the 9900 which has a much bigger screen, and a faster CPU (1200 Mhz. vs the older Bolds which only had a 600 Mhz. processor) BUT rather than putting in a bigger battery, they actually put a smaller 1245 mAH battery so people were thinking what the heck are they thinking this phone won't last half a day?!
RIM's reply was that the 9900 has smat power management which will make the battery last long than the old Bolds even though it has a smaller capacity! I looked at that and went like....
that is physically and logically imporssible! and I was right, the phone will not last more than 4 to 5 hours if you really use the heck out of it! yeah if you put it on the desk and not touch it it might get your through 24 hours if you were lucky but nothing more
all the OS upgrades RIM brought while the may have improved the battery life a tad, it was nowhere near a BOLD phone!
Add to that the crappy continous focus rather than auto focus 5 mp camera they put, which makes the older Bolds with only a 3.2 mp camera autofocus lens take wayy better and crisper looking pics....
add to that, the worst apps you can ever imagine
Example: Email ++ - the features app of the month
Description: it will enable you to edit an email before forwarding it because blackberry ususally doesnt allow you to touch and email you want to forward or edit anything, you send it as is.... seriously?
you have to buy an app (which drains the battery like hell btw) to get some basic work done
I got sick, upgraded to the S3 after a lot of research and I am blown away by the intuitive android OS, speed, graphics, everything! and i was so scared to get a touch screen phone but this device make the learning curve on touch screens very easy!
