true.. Corning/Gorilla Glass is scratch-resistant, but it is not scratch-proof.. thus, the reason for screen protectors

Yeah, it does come with plastic over the screen to protect it whilst in the box, if that's what you mean.

However, it is very large and wraps around the entire device. It isn't like your typical phone where it just sits neatly over just the screen. It wouldn't be practical to leave it on.

The Motorola Triumph comes with a factory installed thick screen protector.
