Several people have had this happen... just be patient, it will pop-up that notification that an update of 299MB is available. Some people have said it takes over an hour after the initial reboot from the 7MB "Prep" update.

Unless you are running somekind of non-stock recovery, rom, or have apps frozen, then the situation is different.

I had no problem with the 7mb file...but twice the ICS update stopped mid download for some reason...and then i would go to check software and it was checking for a minute then it just went away.

a couple of restarts and the ICS update reappeared..so i would try that.

On a side note. I thought i lost my pics but for some reason after the OTA my sd card un-mounted itself. I hit 'mount' and every thing is back

My pics aren't showing up, would you mind elaborating on how to remount the sd card?

Did you get the main OTA? Was the 7mb OTA successful?



You will need to use a RUU to get back totally to stock, best bet is to just wait for the OTA to be released as a RUU. Shouldn't be long now







Oh, btw.... All my pictures are gone. Just searched through my sd card and exsd card and there is NOTHING in either of my DCIM folders

Yes the 7mb was successful. I was running the .10 leak before the update and afterwards I am now running the .12 software.
So yes it does work.

Called VZW 2X in the last few weeks asking about ICS. After my 3rd software check of the day at around 1 pm or so I got the 7mb mini update and a few minutes later was advised of the full ICS update. Took 2 attempts to download (to be fair I was at the office with intermittent 4G). The phone restarted with no issue. So far, so good. Still trying to figure everything out.

I thought the second file wouldn't download, and I tried "check new" and it doesn't do anything. The download should start automatically. It took mine about 10-15 minutes before it downloaded.

I do have 1 problem though. On the new launcher, I tried to switch out my email to gmail but it wouldn't recognize my password. I know I put in the right email and password. I kept getting the following message:

"503 80304: The password and username you entered did not authenticate with your email provider. Please try again."

Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card / Mount SD Card

Are you using Two-Step verification? I used to have a ton of problems with that. It was confusing, between the Application Specific Passwords, the Authentication Codes, and the Passcodes. I dropped it once, but plan on reinstating it after I talk with Google about my security breech a few months ago. (Don't worry, this was an isolated incident and I have more information worth hacking my account for than 99% of the world... That's all I can say but it wasn't a big deal.) Anyway, if you don't know what Two-Step Verification is, then you aren't using it and I don't know what else it could be.

Well it's been more than an hour since i got the 7mb file download, and still nothing. Where might i find it on the phone? I got it while driving, and might have hit reject instead of defer. How can i get it back, or will it come back?

Oh, you think you might have hit "Defer"? That might take a day or two to come back then... Seems to me I did that once on my Inc2 and it popped up again the next morning. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I don't think you can "force" it, it will just happen.

I love replying to those, because I KNOW they won't see it. Sometimes though, deep down, I wish they would. Here's an older one from when I was still using Handcent (are they still around?)

So I got the update (the 7 & 300mb) & it went through it's little install process. The only hitch is it rebooted after 4-5 minutes. After about 6 rebooted I powered it down & pulled the battery. The same thing happened with the last update for my OG Incredible. So I pulled the battery & left it sit for a day or 2 & it's been fine ever since (going on a month & a half). So hopefully that'll take care of it, if not I'll do a factory reset.

I had same thing, the 7mb downloaded bit it was about an hour later when message popped up for install. Then about half hour later second part of update appeared as message to download, that took about 20 minutes.

I kept rejecting hc update on my Incredible and it kept comong back every few days.

I'm not sure I follow which way I'm heading with this as I've seen different things.

I installed the .10 leak last week. However, I never did the S-Off or rooted. Other than installing the ICS leak I have done nothing.

Here is my question. Am I suppose to get this OTA or will I be passed by? Just seems like I'm seeing conflicting info regarding yes I will get it, or no I will not since the leak is installed.

I've seen some posts about going back to GB, but not sure I'd attempt that.

I still say if you're on the leak the FULL ota will not work.

No need to worry about GB though, jut wait for the RUU and flash that

The unmounting sd card is a bug in the .10 leak that I have noticed.
I tried reloading the leak and thought that it was fixed but it still comes back whenever I reboot the phone or many times when shutting down with fastboot enabled or using a usb connection. I am hoping this was addressed in the new build so that I don't have to go into storage settings and manually mount the sd card.

once I mounted the sd card I haven for had any other problems.. Hope it was fixed

You can use the 'status' option to see if it reports as being successful

Just the 7 worked? Or the 300mb one? Mine said .12 after the 7 also but I didn't have ICS yet

I just finished update and FoxFI works like a charm.
