Help I Have Leak ICS 3.14.605.5 710RD, Can I Get .12 OTA?

Hi all! This is literally and first post ever and unfortunately a complete noob question!

About a week ago, I downloaded from Android Police the 3.14.605.5 710RD ICS leak. BEFORE I used this, I was and still am 1000% stock from the factory, never rooted/unlocked/etc. I added the zip to my SD card root, ran it, etc. I am now running that build of ICS, still factory "stock", no root/unlock/etc.

I am currently downloading from Android Police again, this time the FINAL OTA 3.14.605.12 ICS build, my question is, if I install and flash this download the same way as the .5 build, is this the same build that non flash users will be downloading directly on their phone when they run a "Check for Software Updates" and are notified that ICS is available?

If not, or if I want to download it OTA and not flash, how can I accomplish that? I have run a check for updates and it keeps telling me there is nothing available. Thanks everyone!

if you run the .12 RUU you should be fine. And you will not be able to install the OTA if you have the ICS leak installed

Thank you very much for your help! I know this is a long time off and all, but IF the Rezound were to ever see Jelly Bean released on it, I am assuming I would have to continue to download all RUU files from here on out and Flash correct? Just under the assumption that since I flashed once, I can never get OTA updates again? Unless I get a warranty or insurance replacement I would assume

I think if you flash the RUU then you should get any [possible] future updates.

That makes sense though, I already HAVE ICS technically, its just a different build. That would be like getting a leak copy of Windows 7 and when the final version releases, Windows Updates comes up telling you "Would you like to download the final version of Windows 7?"...I would have to go and obtain it and replace it. When and if JB comes out on Rezound, being a new OS, im sure it would tell me to download. Great well I have the .12 build downloading still, hopefully I will have a winner here! Thanks again!

I am not sure about you, but I was about 1 week shy of this releasing and couldnt take the issues with Gingerbread anymore so I made the leap. Today when I was surfing around Google in search of a way to get the OTA update, I started sweating and I read nothing but bad news haha

I just downloaded the leak last week also. Figured it was going to be a while before it came out and was tired of waiting as well.

First post I am downloading .12 now. Only had .10 for two days. Almost waited long enough lol.
I am assuming that the .10 zip will need to be deleted then .12 saved to sd root?

Used mirror 3. Took about 11 minutes. After installing on my ad card powering down then holding volume down and power.nothing happens. No matter how long I hold them. Eventually let go and powers up as usual. What gives?

Sometimes it seems like you have to hold the power down button in just the right location or else the phone doesn't seem to want to launch into the setup screen. Had to do it myself a couple of times with the .12 file.

When I installed the .10 leak last week, someone said pull the battery out, then put it back in. Hold down volume button and then press down on the power button. It seems to work better.

I downloaded this morning, and yes the speeds were rather slow. Left for work and let the PC continue to download. Not sure how long it took.

If you have installed the leak, then there is no going backwards... (it's allot of work!)... Just forward...

You are better off downloading the .12 RUU and installing...

At least that way you will get future OTA's.

It's hard to list them all since the screen is so fast, but it's looking for PH98dia.nbh among others. Help! Any ideas? Thanks!

I have the .10 lean and I installed the .12 leak twice and it just brought me to the screen asking to choose fastboot, reboot, recovery, etc each time. When I finally booted the phone I am still on .10? Can it not be installed over .10?

I had this happen too and realized I did not have a the full download. The file was 258mg and not the 612mg file. Once I had the right file, it worked fine.

Do we know this to be true? I will be relieved to hear that (not that I'm holding my breath for any future updates for this phone).

The file that I have is 598 MB downloaded from Android Police.
Where do I get the 612 MB file?

I got the 598MB download from Android Police yesterday morning after they listed the mirror sites. I had no issues installing .12 over .10.
