Android upgrade version from gingerbread to ice ream sandwich 4.0?

Currently i m using gingerbread2.3.6 version on my phone samsung galaxy ace plus gt s7500 how do i upgrade my current version to ice cream sandwich 4.0? or is there any other better up gradation is available ?

how do i know ??? that's what i m asking how do i do it ??
i have searched to much but no upgrade is available ... but if for assumption i get this up gradation how do i install it ???

You do it thru Kies when it shows that an OFFICIAL update is available.

i also have the same q. i want to upgrade from 2.3.6 gingerbread to ice cream (or any other upgrade). I already tried the software update on my phone but all that has done is change my lock screen format. thats it. nothing else has changed at all. no difference in speed, format, look, wallpapers, functions at all. and i cant upgrade anymore b/c there are 'no more upgrades' when i do it from my handset via software update.


sooooo any other ways of updating?
