Ve look around lately about why my actual sd card doesnt show up to put apps on. So for example, if I download a ton of games and apps, I won't be able to move them to my 16gb sd card. It will only let me put it in the fake 4gb. Now I know there's been something where you can switch the external with a .vold in the root folder so it switches the internal memory with external. However I'm trying to stay away from doing that because last time it broke my phonre, and it hardly reads my gallery. So is there any other ways to put apps on my real 16gb sd card I put in the back of my phone. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, no its not my sdcard. :)

Im not sure if i understand does your 16gb card show up at all? if not have you tried to format it on the phone? and concerning moving your apps to your sd card there are various ways to do that even from application manager.

Yeah i think he wants to save to external instead of internal. . Or move them and run them from external.

Well there you go. N4zty to save the day. :D
i remember with the g1 you could partition a chunk of your sdcard to an ext(2, 3 or 4) format and use it with the system for larger storage.. (DarkTremor's A2SD) but you couldn't manually access that partition unless plugged into linux so im not sure if we are talking about the same idea...

Idk if you guys undrrstand, I guess I mis worded it. But when I try to move my apps from my internal to external, it puts it to that 4gb of space, not 16. So techniqually, I got 4gb internal and 4gb external, so my 16 don't show up at all in app manager. There's other forums similar to this. If you guys don't understand yet, just look in your sd card space through manage apps, it'll say there's only 4gb.

Your 16gig is showing as 4gigs correct ? If so have you tried to put more then 4gigs on it ?
I had a problem like this with my 8gig showing 4 , but it never affected me at all I just kept
filling it up no problem.

you can try to format the card to fat32 on your pc and see if it works I forget what I did to
get mine to read the correct amount.
