Man Order TV, Get Gun

UPS mistake haha happened to my sister... not getting an assault rifle but she got her two packages she ordered and a 3rd mysterious from amazon... it was a Wii game and upon further inspection of the packaging you could see a 2nd shipping label under her address label.

I wouldn't mind having a mistake like this haha, even if I couldn't keep it, its a hell of a story to tell!

Hey Amazon, next time I order diapers, send me a flat screen tv instead. :D

Unfortunately it may not have been Amazon's mistake. The order went through Amazon to a third party seller. Soooo... there are a few possibilities here:

1. Amazon provided the third party the wrong address when they transmitted the order to them
2. The Third party got the addresses mixed up and shipped the wrong box to the wrong person
3. UPS fouled up and delivered the wrong box to the wrong person.
4. The recipient got caught in a time warp. In one dimension they ordered a TV and in the other dimension they ordered a rifle. Somehow the orders got crossed between dimensions. So that person in the other dimension is currently scratching their head over the new TV in their living room. :p

What will be interesting is seeing how the true recipient of that rifle is gonna get it back from the D.C. Police. My guess is that the rifle is locked up in an evidence locker... and will either get destroyed or handed over to the department armorer once they close this investigation. The SIG 716 is supposed to be a pretty good rifle so I'm guessing it'll soon be found on the D.C. police shooting range! :smokingsomb: :p

Good points. So far, not enough data to determine who is at fault.

In hindsight there's actually one other piece of pertinent information that I neglected to include here. Amazon does not sell firearms (only firearms accessories). So there's a good chance that option #1 may not be valid.

I wonder what happened to the sender. I mean, it's a big-time blunder to ship any kind of firearm directly. Even private gun shipments have to go through local dealers, who presumably use a more secure shipping method. It's not like you can just drop a gun in a box and expect it to arrive at the destination undiscovered. Somebody is in very hot water now!

You can bet the government is getting ready to pounce. Perhaps the ATF, even. I hope the sender does not own two guns, for they will become a Cache. Double trouble if he lives on a farm, which will become a Compound.

But, like I said, we need more data.
