Well, I've had my 7 for about three weeks now and today I turned the screen off and she won't come back on. While reading some comics on it I noticed it was getting rather warm so I hit the power button to kill the screen and she won't come back on. I know it should have plenty of juice as it hadn't been off the charger an hour at absolute most. I've put it on the charger for a few seconds but got no response and I've healed the pow error button for about thirty seconds without a response also. Looks like I'll be getting in touch with Google tomorrow.

you said you " put it on the charger for a few seconds". how about leaving it on there AT LEAST 20-30 minutes? then try powering it on.

you have to have a minimum of battery power to get some devices to even recognize they're being charged. it's possible the battery just crapped out and died for some reason. it's happened before on some phones that I've had.

I'll give it a try!

Is it and or the charger warm at all?

If the charger doesn't get warm then it is not powering the tablet.

Now just press and hold the power button only ... in for a minute. Also listen to the tablet if it is making and noise or buzzing sound.

Both it and the charger are ever so slightly warm. But it was just barely noticeable that it was putting off heat. Also, when it was plugged in, there was a very high pitched barely noticeable sound that I can hear when I stick my ear right up to it.

I just now unplugged it 12 hours later and nothing happens when you hold the power or power plus volume buttons. Plugged in or not.
