Root What rom is everyone using for the ics leaks?

I've tried axiombeam, liquidsmooth, and cm9 but now I'm back to the stock 232 leak. Of the roms I probably liked axiombeam the best. What rom is everyone using and which do u think is the best?

I was using .232 base running cm9. I tried running miui but couldn't deal with the data issues. Only issues I ran into with cm9 was that CPU settings weren't working. Which didn't bother me cuz I was at 1.2 GHz

From what I have been reading, there are really no ROMs compatible with .238. Everyone is developing for .232.

I don't really need a ROM b/c .238 is a vast improvement, I just miss customization and debloating.

I am considering installing the deodexed .238, just so I can customize a little more.

Yeah, the devs haven't jumped up to 238 cuz there's no return. If they find a way to get back to gb, there will be roms out then.

I would make the jump, but I tried out a ICS Blur ROM, and I'm just going to say that I couldn't stand the UI changes. The normal AOSP apps look so much better and cleaner, while the Text app in Blur is horrible.

There won't be a way to go back to GB without an unlocked bootloader to flash old radios and the like.

You can still be on .235 or .238 and flash something like the CM9/AOKP builds. They work correctly, and even some .232 ROMs will work, same as how we had .893 ROMs working when people were on .902 leaks.

Im running ToRmEnTeD kAnG CM10 by DHacker and Sparkyman. So far not so bad, OCed to 1.27Ghz with 5 additional governors and open init.d with built-in scripts and build.prop settings. Sparkyman seems to have a pretty solid method for getting data to come up and stay up on their JB rom.

Sticking with stock rooted .232 for now. I'll definitely flash something after the OTA.

I'm sticking with my "stock" 232,I love it and wont let it go until the OTA! If I could only get Moto and VZ to get their butts in gear....
I still love my Bionic!!

Did you have to do anything special to get this running? I have AOKP 7/13 running on .232, and it runs great. I downloaded 7/25 a couple days ago, cleared data, system, cache, Dalvik, install zip, etc... and it just blackscreens after the Safestrap splash.
I can flash back to 7/13 all I want, but 7/25 is broken on my Bionic. Weird.

The Droidhive site has been up & down a lot lately, so maybe the files became corrupt or incomplete in the past couple weeks?
If so, then maybe folks reporting success downloaded it before the site instability occurred. AOKP has always installed great on my unit, so I'm at a loss to explain it. 7/13 runs fine, so I'm sticking with that for now.

Nothing is corrupt. The guys over at DroidHive had a little tussle. It's had many domains but is finally seated at ROMbot.org.

You most likely flashed the copy of 7/25 that is for .905. They moved the leak nightlies to another server, one which has been wiped since they are completely redoing their look, site and files in preparation for an official ICS build, with a kexec and CM10 soon after.

I would wipe system, cache, and dalvik-cache manually before you install just to make sure that you are clean after installing the bad copy.

Hashcode is working on the kexec itself. It's already up and running on the RAZR, with a good CM10 build in the works by both hash and dhacker.

It's doubtful that the Bionic will get any official support.

It basically enables the phone to ignore its kernel and allows the phone to run from a custom kernel that is built into the ROM. This should enable developers to have bug free ROMs in the future.. and also a jelly bean ROM that works.

BTW I've flashed every ROM available Lol
(I'm hooked). Anyway if you value battery life then go with a blur ROM like read head or liquid blur. . The best aosp option at the moment is speed lite (not the aokp) it has less battery drain than other options.

I would rather run aosp but I can't charge my phone all day, so I run liquid blur.
