Root Notification says voicemail update is available. Should I?

Hi,

I'm fully rooted on MikG 3.1 and just recently began seeing a voicemail update notification. If I click it, I'm able to either go ahead or cancel. My question is this: should I? Is this the equivalent of a software update pushed from Sprint? I've generally heard not to install the pushed updates from carriers as things can go wrong.

Any advice?

Thanks,
- Matt

Ya know, after I updated the vvm app, I cannot find the setting to make the speaker on by default.
Not a big deal to hit the speaker button before playing message, but before the update, I was able to click the setting for speaker on by default.
oh well..**heavy sigh**

I was playing around in the vm app and found how to default to play the messages via the speaker and not earpiece. If you open a voice mail you have to listen to it, just click the speaker button to the right of the track bar and the icon turns green. It should remain on for all messages. At least it did for my testing.
