The choice of a extended

I want to ask my fellow Evo V owners, what battery do you think is best to have as a extended?? right now im looking towards Trexcell, Innocell or Laza.. im a lil hesitant about the other batteries because they are MUCH cheaper than other extended batteries. If you have a better suggestion please tell, Thanks.

I have 3 standard batteries because I prefer to swap out as opposed to a large extended battery. I have 1 in the phone, 1 charging in the dock and the fully charged spare in my pocket. However I had a few bucks laying around my PayPal account and ordered this item and am quite satisfied with it. It also has the same exact cover as the Laza battery at 1/3 the cost. I mean for $5 or $ 6 I'm willing to give it a shot. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=130740716608
The Innocell is ridiculously expensive for what it offers.

I got the Trexcell 4000mAh. I think it's a good buy. I went with the extended over the getting a bunch of regular batteries because I hated having to swap batteries with my Triumph. The only thing I don't like about the extended battery is it doesn't fit in any of the other cases (EG Otterbox), and it barely fits into the mount on my bicycle.

Thanks for all the suggestions, the only thing about switching between 3 batteries is it will make you go insane switching between 3 standard batteries all day when you need it. And the sale for the battery u suggested is over, but thanks.

And yes the extended batteries for this phone are Bulky and adds a little more weight but its better than having a phone that dies quick. and i would love a trexcell battery but it costs too much.

I'd suggest spending the $13-15 a real Laza costs. I always worry about leakage ruining devices for real cheap direct from China batteries. Just my IMHO.

I worry about the leakage of a battery thats cheap or straight from china too. But i was looking at the Laza battery on amazon that is 10 dollars or the one thats $19 and 3500 maH. (Most likely Laza or the 15 dollar trexcell)

That's the one, the Amazon, with shipping is in the 13-15 buck range. I like the back the Laza has and the build quality seems decent. Not the Seidio by any means but not 60+ bucks either.

Wow hold up, this batter isnt bulky at all and yea im not gonna do 60+ bucks or 40 for that matter. I can do 30 and down. But the case and battery your talking about i like better. So i guess i made my choice. Thanks. Oh and there isnt any kind of frequent overheating? or anything like that is it??

I got the Laza zcell extended battery 2 days ago, trying to cycle the battery, and boy does that battery hold a charge!

In my first cycle drain, it took a battery drainer app nearly 10 hours to drain the battery by turning vibration, GPS (fetching location), bluetooth, flash, and full screen brightness!

The Laza was a good buy at 17 bucks for me. I'm fine with the little bump on the case, since it's a neat case, and doesn't bother me.

That's why I would rather switch once or twice a day, standard batteries fit my cases and dock. And if one decides to crap out I have spares to take a licking and keep on ticking.

Even the oem batteries are assembled in China, also Li-ion batteries are not prone to leaking and the electrolyte is non corrosive. The biggest problem with aftermarket batteries is them being very generously rated for power output. Like I previously mentioned the battery that I purchased has the same back as the Laza at 1/3 the cost and it weighs exactly twice as much as the original battery which is a much better indicator than what's printed on the label when it comes down to realistic output values.

The Laza is a great battery. The battery cover is great too. I actually ordered an innocell and the cover wasn't as nice. They are different sizes too (batteries and covers). As far as a case goes I ended up with a traxxel case from amazon and cut out the openings for the power and volume as they were too resistant to presses. Alternatively I also got an innocell extended battery case and left off the 1st layer shell since it didn't fit and only use the silicone wrap and spider like outter shell.
