My contract with Verizon is up NoVember. I have unlimited data now but that has changed. Can I buy a new phone at full price and keep my plan or will they make me change? I'd rather not ask them as we don't have a good history.

Are all of the apps I have transferable or will I have to download or buy them again?

What is the best Droid out today? Sorry to be so vague.

Thanks.

VZW *said* that if you buy a new phone outright you can keep your unlimited plan, but if you use an upgrade you must change plans. So they say. However, even if you keep an unlimited plan they will not guarantee how long you can keep it.

I don't trust anything VZW says anymore.

I'm out of contract now and initially thought I'd buy full price and keep my plan. But my gut tells me they'll start phasing it out altogether next year for those of us out of contract and only keep those with one on it until June 2014 at the latest.

Moral probably is, if you're gonna want to keep your unlimited, better do it by June 28th 2012. :(

Dammit....
