Some apps not available for Evo v?

So I tried downloading the Pogo Games app on my Evo V and it says not compatible with my phone? Also, it says the game Monopoly (by EA) should be available, yett I cannot find it? Are there some games not compatible with this phone? Why?

In most cases developer hasn't tested on this phone. Sometimes you can trick.the market into thinking your device is another phone and app will show up. Or download it somewhere other than the market. I had this issue with GTA 3 , downloaded elsewhere and it plays fine

Developers usually have compatibility lists for 2 reasons, one the app might not be compatible with your hardware and then they would be forced to issue a refund and two it might run poorly on some hardware leading to poor reviews. Currently there are many apps that are compatible with the Evo 3d but the developers have not gotten around to including the Evo V on their apps list yet. If you find that an application is available for the Evo 3d but not our device contact the dev for support. Many are probably not even aware of this phones existence.

I thought this phone was internally just an Evo 3D and the name "Evo V 4G" was just a name Virgin used to distinguish it from Sprint's. I mean my phone even says "Sprint" on it and when I post comments in the Play Store, they always come up as "HTC EVO 3D".

Even if it shows up as an Evo 3d in the market a lot of apps do further checking on first boot. Most Gameloft titles do this. Another issue was that until recently even if the phone identified as a 3d we were running ICS Instead of GB. Now that the 3d is running official ICS more apps should become compatible.

From my understanding HTC Support and the Google Play Store recognises the HTC Evo V as an HTC Evo 3D. It makes sense since the phone is just given a name changed. No change on hardware whatsoever on the device.

But it doesn't just go by what hardware it is/has, it may identify itself as shooter but on the software side it identifies itself as an EvoV4G. Applications have to be software as well as hardware compatible. That's why even the real 3d's can't use some Gameloft titles since the ICS update. I just read a few reviews for the game I want (Pogo Games app) apparently a lot of Evo 3D owners had their compatibility broken with the last update. Of course since the title is an EA title, updates are very rare. Last update was in June. So its probably gonna be broken for awhile.
