Android 4.0.4 & Sense 4.1 update rolling out in Europe now.

I've just installed the update and after 10min of using the device I can confirm:

-The Sense performance has been dramatically improved! All the transitions and effects are fast and smooth (most noticeably when scrolling the home pages), the app drawer and the menus are project butter-like!

-The options for the "recent apps button" are located under Settings/Display, gestures & buttons. NO MORE BLACK BARS in apps and games!!! YEEEY

-The Gallery loads really fast! Even though I have more than 600 photos, the thumbnails pop up instantaneously.

-Ran the youtube player on charge, while having 2 games on pause and the device didnt go 1000C degrees as it use to. ...finally!

-The wake up time has been increased.

-EA Games seems pointless to me. It just shows 5 games to try out and thats it.

-There's a new app called Rescue. (An application used for remote technical support)

-The Browser has a dedivated TABS button on the top right corner.

-Live Wallpapers don't skip frames when moving home screens!!!

-The camera handles white balance much better + pictures taken with flash in dark places are no longer greenish

-With no running apps I get 543MB Used and 433MB free memory!

You guys notice any difference with Sence 4.1 as to 4.0? Here in the state we've been updated to 4.0.4 but still with Sence 4.0

Benchmarks are pointless scores really as they don't test real life situations.

4.1 for me is a massive upgrade in terms of smoothness and speed, finally locking the framerate at 60fps makes it really smooth when scrolling between homescreens, for me it was the final piece in the puzzle.

I got mine through a third party (mobiles.co.uk) so it is unbranded and so don't have to wait for carriers. Software version 1.29.401.11.

Got my first android through them (desire) so was pleasantly surprised to get updates in the first wave - didn't know about the update situation back then.

Keeping fingers crossed I've got this right!

I'm also unbranded through phones4u but still have nothing... :-(
Mine actually appears unbranded too, I still thought it was the carrier that sends out the updates. Hopefully will be soon then!

Just mainland Europe at the moment by all accounts, we'll have to wait a little bit before we get it.

That's how HTC always do it for some reason.

Am I the only one missing a new-style Notification bar? Some reviews say I should have the Sense 3.x style notification bar with quick settings in it, but my HOX notification bar looks just the same way it did when I first bought this phone..

It's weird because they have put the Quick Settings in the update but for some reason they haven't enabled it, don't know why though.
