Have had a search for you, the only method to root appears to be the one that I linked above.

You said that the above method didn't work for you... are you not able to actually use that root method when on the specific firmware that they mention. There is a link (in the XDA root thread) on how to flash the rootable firmware - did you try to do that first?

If you root, it is not usually a good idea to accept OTA updates on your phone, as it could brick your it or, at the very least, you would lose root.

Once you are rooted, you would be able to flash custom ROM's on your phone (if there are any available).

I am not familiar with your phone, but will try to help you out. It is quite late here though, so I may not be able to answer tonight :)

:)
its pretty late here also , im not planning to do this right now, but thanks for the willingness !
its not the ROMs that cause me to root but the extra features like link2sd, titanium backup, files explorers etc.
The question is, LG getting new versions for a reason, probably better performance and stuff like that. isnt it a better idea to keep up with the latest version? shouldnt i prefer that ?

about the root - ill start reading it tommorow and post here (or PM?) my questions and you will answer (when you can :)
OK?

thanks a lot !
