Wow I really like this phone a whole lot better with the exception of one thing....the default calendar theme sucks. With regards to the apps out there that allow you to theme, which ones do not drain the battery if any? I am using this for work so I am trying to get something that looks pleasing to eye while at the same time not degrading my battery life. Any suggestions?

I sure do like the keyboard better than the Hero's. Even after calibrating the Hero KB this one is much more responsive and I have fewer errors typing.

I like calendar pad (for Andriod 1.5). I have it set up on the screen to the right of the home screen. It allows me to see what is going on a given day just by looking at it (don't have to touch the day). I use the 4x3 widget, it takes up a lot of real estate on the screen, but I like it. It is free so give it a try. I use beautiful widgets for my home screen (has the date, weather, and time). It will make look it pretty similar to what you had with the Hero.

I think that is the one thing that I do not like about it so far is the default calendar theme. I wish it looked like that of the Hero.

Pure grid calender. It looks very similar to the hero's and surpasses it in function. The grid widget will give you a monthly view with the ability to tap the day and your schedule for that particular day will pop up. There is also a more detailed grid view like calender pad has if you just want a list. Both options are customizable by themes so you can change them to what style you fancy

I would love to give you a picture, but I don't know how to do a screen shot. I believe it is free on the market. Just download it and install it, if you don't like it just delete it. I might also try the one that was suggested on another post, just to see what it looks like. It takes no time to set up. I looks like a calendar and it actual shows what is going on that day. It attempts to show you the text of the appointment in the calendar. I say attempts, because if you have several events on one day it might run out of space to display all the notes, but if you touch the day it will open the whole thing. Give it a try.

i just did the same thing. i loved everything about the Hero, except for the touchscreen keyboard. it was fantastic for a touchscreen keyboard. i just txt way too much to do it on that. if i had to choose an all touch screen phone, it would be the Hero. but i looooove having a real keyboard. The keyboard calibration tool def helped, but nothing beats a physical keyboard :D

Are you comparing the physical KB to an on screen KB or both screen KBs?

Reason I ask is, I always wondered if the phones with no physical KB actually had better on screen ones.
