NOTE: If you are running JB (Android version 4.1.x), the following root exploits below will not work; they were designed for ICS. You'll have to wait for a new root exploit for JB. If you already rooted on ICS AND have a unlocked bootloader and recovery, you can safely take the JB update. You will lose root but not your custom recovery. Therefore, after you are on JB, you can flash a rooted stock ROM to get your root back.

Over at xda, someone reported on July 4, 2012 that they were able to use the DebugFS method to root their Infinity:
