I'm on my 4th GNex from Verizon (#s 2-4 are CLN) and running stock 4.0.4. Previous models had severe issues with dropping data and refusing to connect (same with this one but not as bad since replacing SIM card as well). Anyway, this one seems to be having awful battery life and I'm using a new (1.5 weeks old) OEM extended battery. I don't think its the battery... this morning between 12AM and 5AM the phone drained 20% and was just sitting on my desk unused, after being fully charged while I was sleeping. It was on airplane mode....

Any idea on what I can do to make things better without rooting? I don't use task killers, dont have things running, sync is off.... I dont know wtf else to do. Attached is my usage from approximately 2pm today following full recharge. I had <2hrs screeen time and have brightness manually set to ~25%. Any idea on what I can tell Verizon to either get a new (not CLN) model or just another phone? I'd prefer the S3 as I hear the battery life is overall much better, and I'm not the type to mod my phone anyway. I just want a phone that will actually not be permanently tethered to the wall!

I couldn't see your first two pics, but the 3rd one doesn't look out of the ordinary. It looks like a what it would for a moderate to slightly heavy user. THe screen on the GNex is huge, and has tons of pixels. Its just going to drain fast when you have it on. The losing 20% on airplane mode is another story, that shouldn't happen, I wish I could see the pics for that. :p

You'll have to repost those other pics. We'd need to see the screen on time, the details of the android OS usage, and also the details of the usage graph.

Without seeing that, we can only guess. Screen use being so high leads me to believe there was extended screen on time and your brightness is probably cranked up. But again, its just a guess.

I agree, the 20% drop in airplane mode is strange unless the screen was on. I have seen some complaints of people whose phone screens come on by themselves with no contact.... so that's possible.
