I have seen commercials, seen forum chat, and seen videos on youtube and the like about the new Samsung Galaxy S3 having the capability to stream video's from the phone to the TV, but none of them actually show HOW to do it.

My TV is connected to my network at home and I have a wifi in the house that my phone is also connected to, but I am not sure if I need to have an app or if the capability is already built into the phone.

Basically I want to be able to play a video from youtube on my phone, or videos that I have recorded and stream those videos wirelessly via wifi to my TV. My TV is 2 years old and is a 46" Samsung LED or LCD, don't know the exact model.

I also have an xbox 360 and wii that is on the wifi network and is hooked up to the TV is that is an easier alternative.

The way to do this is through DLNA (DLNA Server). A lot of the newer TV's support this feature. Download Pixel-DMS for example, start the app, go to your TV, then DLNA menu (if supported). Your Samsung SIII will appear within the DLNA menu. At that point with the TV remote, scroll though the folders on your phone and play pictures or videos to the TV. I do this at my house on a 65" Panasonic Plasma but video's can be slow. Nothing better than just going through HDMI but it does work through wireless.
