Root Sick of waiting.. Which 2.1 should I flash?

/* rant starts
After reading that 2.1 is now pushed back to the 26th or something of April, I've finally had enough. I used to stick up for HTC when it came to people moaning about updates but now I'm joining the masses who are thoroughly fed up of waiting.
*/ rant ends

So here's my question, should I flash VillainROM based on eris or legend? The eris one sounds less buggy and a bit quicker? But the one based on the Legend build will improve I suppose and the eris build isn't going to be updated..

Or, another 2.1 ROM which might be better?

Cheers guys :)

BeHero is a good ROM
Villian 4 Beta 2 (Legend Based) is better though. It fixed the issues BeHero had, but I find the battery life using the BeHero ROM was better.

2.1 ROMs love to suck the juice out of your battery. Even on standby, you leave it for a few hours, come back and 10-20% has gone just like that.

But that's not the Dev's fault (stupid Kernal) lol...

So yeah Villain Legend 4.0 try it. If you don't like it go back to Modaco.

:p

Yeh I think I'll flash Villain 4 tomorrow. I remember reading that the eris build's poor battery life was due to the kernel so I assumed the legend's build would have a better one and therefore wouldn't have battery issues.

I think I'll take your advice though and give 4 a go, and if it's too bad in terms of battery life just go back to modaco :)

Really tempted to do it now but due to alcohol levels I think I'll wait til the morning so I don't screw it up :p

LOL. Yeah your right. Legend builds have a better battery life but they still are not great. I have to charge my phone at least twice a day (I use the phone a lot). But I like the 2.1 apps and don't want to switch back to 1.5 :(

note:- For most of the people (including me), if we switch back from any 2.1 custom ROM to 1.5 - GPS will not work. We need to re-flash the Radio in-order to make it.

I flashed VillainROM 4 this morning but because I've been using it pretty intensively all day it's been plugged in. Will be interesting to see how well the battery holds up, on Modaco it was amazing but I don't think I want to go back to 1.5 either so will just wait for one based on the official release :p
