Root Skinning the Eris.

I'm a GUI designer: CheeseEnthusiast on deviantART

I'm (VERY) interested in making skins for the Eris.

I was wondering how difficult (file-replacing) this would be. Haven't rooted yet, and this would be my main reason for doing so.

They should be able to give you the information needed.
I recommend that because most people here know didetly squat and in the irc there are a lot of people than know the system inside and out.

I mean look at the number threads of people that have problems just trying to get to their sdk folder....do you really think they are going to know how to modify their apks to make a different look for the phone??
If I offended anyone I'm sorry but thats the truth, I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I guess I should have included myself in the post because I don't know how to skin a theme...But at the very least I know the basics in sdk and basic info on the stuff on my phone.
Sorry for the rant, but I didn't want to be seen as a total ahole. I know I'm a jerk...but I'm not a jerk all the time...

Welp I rooted, got 2.1 running.

I think I might be able to do some of this by editing the "HTC TouchSense" apk. Is there a way to retreive that from the phone, and replace it later?
