So I was in a metro corporate store today and supposedly the galaxy s light tray is metros version of the galaxy s3...can anyone shed some light on this?

Never believed them lol they know jack
It's too early to give anything away. They're not gonna tell us anything until it actually happens. I read on Phonearena, & I think it was Android Central that the S3 will be out between Sept & Dec. So, we have to do like everyone else...just relax & see what happens.

I don't know, but the guy there sounded so convinced that they were not getting it... So that's why I am wondering.
Well, whatever happens, I'm happy with what I have right now. Don't even care about any other new phones coming out. Lightray is not an upgrade from my Esteem or the Connect. Not even some of the rumored phones are any type of upgrade, unless you want ICS. Still say just be patient & see what happens. Dec will get here before we know it.

Well I made the decision to drop metro without looking at what Tmobile had to offer... And it's a lot better than at&t. As soon as my esteem sells I am going with Tmobile instead and canceling out my service deal with at&t. I have 13 days to make this happen so I don't get the shaft from at&t

So that guy at the corporate store influenced you

This.
Carlos....you spoke to whom/what title?

There have been multiple corporate order screenshots posted by insiders to confirm otherwise.

I didn't ask his name, I still have my esteem and all, I am going to be changing back tomorrow because I am not feeling the need to stay with at&t even with a discount from work.

Depends really on the specs, but if its as good as its Verizon (I think its Verizon?) counterpart, I'll get it. Probably give my esteem to my little brother if I don't end up having to sell it to be able to afford the GS3 lol

The Lightray looks just like Verizon's Droid charge. Also the specs are almost exactly the same. Looks like leftovers to me lol.

Because they still look the same and more people know about the charge than that other phone.
