what is sooo good about sprint anyway?

I have 2 smartphones (iPhone 4 and GS2) on a Family Plan. 1500 minutes (to landlines) and everything else is unlimited (mobile to mobile, data & text etc). After my 20% corporate discount I pay $132 after all taxes for both lines.

Service is excellent in my area and usually get a pretty good 4G signal.

Same type of plan with other companies would cost me a lot more.

a lot of people i know have sprint..it is a good company but has its flaws just like the rest of the carriers..my roommate has unlimited everything but he also pays @150...my other roommate has AT&T IPhone also unlimited but also pays @150

The only reason that is cause he got the 100 plan and its really not a reason to get it I have the 450 min unlimited everything else and I still only use about 20 min a month. Don't that many people I know still use landlines frequently and I pay about 80 bucks a month

This is the best description I've seen and most accurate.

I pay approximately $185 (including a corporate discount) for 3 lines. Same 1500 minute plan (landlines), but I also have insurance $8 for 2 phones.

For the people that are doubting the "unlimited" calling on the $69.99 plan (+$10 for smartphones), it actually is unlimited for mobile-to-mobile calls:

Unlimited domestic calls from the Sprint network to and from ANY U.S. mobile phone regardless of carrier. Any network, any time.

What you can do with it

Forget about restrictive calling circles.
Call any mobile, anytime while on the Sprint Network
Access to over 250 million U.S. mobile phones nationwide
Applies when directly dialing/receiving standard voice calls between domestic wireless numbers as determined when the call is placed using independent third-party and Sprint databases. Available with select Sprint plans and while on the Nationwide Sprint or Nextel National Networks (excludes voicemail, 411 and other indirect methods).

On that same $79.99 plan, the only thing that is NOT unlimited is calling to a landline or 800 number, from 7am-6:59pm, which uses the 450 minutes. Anytime from 7pm-659am is unlimited, including weekends, regardless of calling a mobile phone or land line or 800 number.

Now, if you were to compare all of those things with what is offered on the other providers, there's absolutely no way the pricing matches up. Sprint will be cheaper every time.

I just went through this "debating the carriers" route last year when I switched from VirginMobile prepaid to a plan. (I wanted better phones.)

Sprint's main selling point for me is that unlimited data. When it works, you blow through data easily.

Just for comparison, I also have a Prepaid T-Mobile account (the $30 special). It gives me unlimited data (4G/HSPA+ speeds up to 4GB then throttles to Edge after that), unlimited texting and 100 voice minutes. I mistakenly set my photo app to auto-upload videos and pics while on mobile internet. I blew through my 4G cap in a couple hours. At least my only penalty was really crappy data speeds until my month reset a few days later. Had I been on Verizon or AT&T I would have seen an extra $10-$20 added to my bill. I doubt I would have noticed my error either until well after the damage was done. The stupid app was uploading MP4 TV Shows I transferred to watch on the go.

As long as Sprint maintains the unlimited data, they'll have me as a customer. Change that, and I'll go shopping.

Well said drexappeal! Now if the Network Vision continues to roll out, it will really be a steal.

I pay $178 for 3 SmartPhone's on the Unlimited Data plan.. we must have the same plan and a very similar discount. Pry just the difference in local taxes that change it up a few bucks.

LOL...Ben, totally think it's the difference in taxes! Initially, when they changed to unlimited mobile-to-mobile (and it was only Sprint phones), I was worried because many of my friends had left Sprint to go to another provider...but, when they changed it to any mobile regardless of provider, I don't think I've ever come close to using that 1500 minutes. Closest I got was probably 900 minutes...maybe.

Exactly. On my family plan, we use about 2 or 3000 minutes a month, but whit the Any mobile, any time, regardless of carrier, we only use a few hundred of our minutes. In today's society, its just like having unlimited minutes, in most cases.

What's even funnier is, I'm the reason the land line minutes get used up so much...hahaha. My other family members use maybe 100 minutes combined with calls to landlines. I think the hardest part is trying to tell them to use the free 411, not the Sprint 411.

What? I don't understand your "trick" talk. However, the service I previously described works great. In fact, I just tested it and got the number and address reply text in under 30 seconds. You must be experiencing self inflicted user error.

Edit: PS. Whats with the attitude dan? What is, "I feel for you trick" supposed to mean? This level of immaturity is not something I've come to know for you.

Perhaps, in which case the text should have read, "I fell for your trick," and not, "I feel for you trick." As you can see, there is a big difference in what is on record and what you are suggesting he could have meant. lol Not to mention, its not even a trick! lol

total typo.. it should have read.. "I fell for your trick".
which i did think it was a trick, because i tried it.

in the "text to", i put in "google"...
tabbed to next area to type in message/question/inquiry .. but errored out with not a valid number.. tried google voice and my sprint text app.

dont get it, why it does not work for me.
