Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

can you confirm that all your apps are going therChecke? Because I know system apps (apps that came with the rom) would be under system/apps, but yes should see them under sd/apps for the ones you installed yourself

Check my post #774 that will give you the answer. I personally confirmed all apps I installed to be at /system/sd/app via the terminal on the phone.

Okay to Clear things Up about a2sd as it seems Some are Confused about it...

Your app are not in /system/sd
What is Happening we are Mounting the ext 2 partition as read / write with a symlink to the sd folder.... From there after every reboot the dalvik-cache that is normaly store on the /data/dalvik-cache is moved to /system/sd via ext 2.... Somethings can not be moved to /system/sd if it's a system file..

a2sd works on every reboot.

If you wish to see what's in /system/sd. In adb type

adb shell
cd /system/sd/dalvik-cache
ls -l

i dunno if this means anything to anybody but i was using better terminal emulator on my phone and i tried to do #pm enable android.permission.VIBRATE to see if i could get the vibrate to work just for curiosity's sake (since they say that curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back) and i got this message:

[1] KILLED android.permission.VIBRATE

any clarification on what exactly is going on when it does that?

Has anyone been having issues with Titanium Backup? I hadn't used it before this ROM and I'm having significant issues with FC's and phone recognition. I get an FC about every 5-7 apps restored, in addition many apps are triggering the message "Can't be installed on this phone". After the next FC, Titanium Backup restarts and will then usally process the restore of any application previously skipped as not being able to be installed. Note that I am not saying that the FC's happen only after a "missed" restore, either can happen at any point. I really like the data recovery and was considering paying for the app but at this point I feel like it is so buggy I'm not sure I want to spend money on it.

hey BH_MAN, real quick question since i've never seen an answer to it on the forums, what OS do you use when you're creating all these ROMs? i know it's kinda off subject of this thread, but i really want to know lol. sorry...

Um? It's not the OS is really all I can say... I got something from somebody that has Access to something from somebody else.

You need to Reboot... The a2sd runs at every reboot.

Oh swt thx BH_MAN for clarification. One question though, how come my storage went down from 153 to 129? Only have 7 apps installed.

Edit: Ran that cmd and all i got return was a bunch of pre-installed apps and not the one i installed.

Edit2: Installed two more apps and went down from 129 to 126.

I am running R4. My phone has been off the charger from about 5am. Battery Left widget is reporting time dead as 2:45 am. That would be twenty one hours on one charge with limited use (a couple calls, a few texts and a little web browsing including this).

Curious, I decided to set BLW to display time left as well as time dead. It is telling me thirty six hours, 2:45 am Monday! That will be a total of forty six hours on one charge assuming similar usage.

I usually have heavier usage, browse web, play games, pandora and etc. so I don't expect to get quite that but have to say wow, just wow!

Only bug I've noticed that I haven't seen mentoned is after a reboot I sometimes have widgets freeze and become inactive/unresponsive. I remove and replace them and they work fine again.

can't make up my mind if I should do it now or wait a few days till the bugs are woeked out.
